Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Aaron Rodgers all have one mutual past co-worker and he’s going to a busy franchise.
Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen have all had very different careers. Aaron Rodgers’ career began in 2005 and could end in 2025. Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, meanwhile, should be around in 2035 after joining at the tail end of the 2024 season.
Aaron Rodgers has played with the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets. Patrick Mahomes has played with the Kansas City Chiefs and Josh Allen has played with the Buffalo Bills. Despite leading very different careers, one receiver knows all three quarterbacks.
He will now get to know a new one as well.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling agrees Seattle Seahawks deal
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero on Twitter/X, former Packers, Chiefs, and Bills receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be joining Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks. Marquez Valdes-Scantling arrives in the wake of DK Metcalf’s exit.
“Veteran WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling is signing with the #Seahawks on a one-year deal worth up to $5.5 million, per sources. Deal negotiated by Harold C. Lewis, Ezra Thompson and Chad Berger of
NSAFootball,” he posted.
The news is a positive development for Sam Darnold, who the Vikings let walk instead of franchise tagging . With DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett gone, the team needed another new name to help out their new quarterback.
How Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s experience with Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes translates
The wide receiver, set to turn age 31 in 2025, has reached a stage that will leave teams wondering how much gas he has in the tank. However, there is plenty of reason to give him a shot this season.
The new Seahawks wide receiver has played in 11 playoff games with perhaps the most memorable catch of his career coming against the Baltimore Ravens in the 2023-24 AFC Championship game to take the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. If the Seahawks get in range and need a play from the wide receiver, he’s done it before.
Of course, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba still on the team, he will likely be the top starting receiver. However, “MVS” as some know him as will slide in as a WR2 for now but could be bumped to third if the Seahawks draft a premium rookie.
