A.J. Brown Injury Proves Philadelphia Eagles GM Howie Roseman Was Right to Make Blockbuster Trade

Dotson desperately needed a change of scenery after seemingly being miscast in new Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury’s system, but lands in Philadelphia where he’ll get the opportunity in front of a national audience to prove he’s capable of being a meaningful contributor in the Eagles’ passing game.

Similar to the Kansas City Chiefs having pieces such as Rashee Ricee and Xavier Worthy even before adding now injured Marquise Brown, and landing veteran running back Samajee Perine off waivers before this season and before Isiah Pacheco suffered a fractured fibula, the Eagles have quality depth at a critical position to perhaps move forward barely skipping a beat.

The Eagles would have been much worse off offensively had Roseman not been prudent to bolster the star-caliber potential of the receiving corps by adding Dotson the depth chart, when disaster inevitably struck, as it did with Brown’s injury.
