A Photography Collection Of Muhammad Ali Will Go On Display In London – And Some Have Never Been Seen By The Public Before!

   

A collection of photographs of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali are due to go on display in London later this year, with a selection of them having never been seen in public before!

When picking out the all-time legendary names in sports, few come bigger than Muhammad Ali – and there’s a reason his nickname is ‘The Greatest’. A pioneer both in and out of the boxing ring, Ali was a fighter for titles and for social justice, and you’ll soon be able to view some never-seen-before photos of the great man at a display in London.

From October 2 – November 8Muhammed Ali in Focus: The Greatest by the revered sports photographer Chris Smith will be open to the public at Alon Zakaim Fine Art gallery as part of the release of a new book celebrating Muhammad Ali. It marks Smith’s second solo show at the gallery, and attendees will be able to view a collection, specially curated by the photographer himself, of Ali photographs – many of which are being displayed publically for the very first time!

The book, named The Greatest, is comprised of the black and white photographs by Chris Smith that go through his life and capture the character of the the sporting hero. On top of studying the photos in detail, those who buy the book will be able to read an in-depth essay by journalist Paulo Hewit about the ups and downs of Ali’s fascinating career.

Speaking on his photographs of Ali, Chris Smith said: “Photographing Muhammad Ali was an incredible honour. Through my lens, I aimed to capture not just the athlete, but the man behind the legend.”

Those attending the gallery will also have the chance to pick up the new book, but either way you’ll be getting the chance to view a unique set of photographs that pay tribute to a figure of inspiration for so many.
