Many viewers thought Alexe Godin would get a Hometown date on Season 29 of The Bachelor. She earned the coveted first impression rose on the first night and was rewarded with the season’s first one-on-one date.

However, as the season wore on, her connection with Grant seemed to stall compared to his connection with other women. But still, viewers were surprised when Alexe was sent home in the last rose ceremony before Hometown dates.

Bachelor Nation viewers haven’t been impressed by the quality of this season’s dates. Grant and Alexe’s first date was a trip to an empty mall. They had free reign of the shopping center for their low-key date. During their alone time, they jumped on a bed and broke it, posed as mannequins, and rode mechanical dogs.

Grant and Alexe also binged on a huge ice cream sundae. During their exploration of the mall, they found a working piano in one of the stores. And fans know Grant Ellis can’t turn down the chance to show off his musical talent. After all, he dropped a new single right before Season 29 premiered.

At the time of the date, Alexe Godin said it was the best date of her life. But now that she’s no longer pursuing Grant, she shared her real opinion. She was a guest on Nick Viall’s podcast and opened up about the moment she got the ick from the Bachelor lead.

It turns out that Alexe wasn’t a fan of being serenaded on the piano. She said it was a little too much that early in their relationship. Alexe said the song was suited more for a date at the end of the season. She hardly knew Grant at the time of the mall date.

Fans Demand Her For Next Bachelorette

ABC revealed that The Bachelorette won’t return this year. But fans are still debating who should be the next lead. One fan took to Reddit to throw Alexe Godin’s name in the ring. They wrote a post stating that she should be the next Bachelorette. The post received a few fans in agreement, but not everyone thought she was the right choice.
