Ariana Madix offered an update on her shared home with Tom Sandoval and her friendships with Lala Kent and Scheana Shay while appearing on Sunday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
As the 39-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum also addressed Jax Taylor‘s stint in rehab, spoke of her sandwich shop, Something About Her, and the closure of Schwartz & Sandy’s, and explained her relationships with cast members of The Valley, Ariana explained why she believes Scheana, 40, may never get her chance on Dancing With the Stars and admitted that she and Sandoval, 42, have yet to sell their home.
“That is ongoing, but hopefully wrapping up soon,” Ariana shared of the house on the May 11 episode of WWHL, adding that while Sandoval “lives there,” she has “[her] own house.”
As for where she stands with Lala, Ariana confirmed she did not run into her former castmate at Kristen Doute‘s baby shower last month.
“No … She wasn’t there,” Ariana stated.
According to Ariana, she hasn’t spoken to Lala since the Pump Rules season 11 reunion.
“But I’ve not run into her,” she noted.
Regarding her friendship with Scheana, Ariana revealed they are “good.”
“She checked in on me during the fires, and we were chatting back and forth, and it was her birthday this last week, and she invited me to the birthday. [But] I couldn’t go. I was here,” she shared. “It’s not where it was, but it’s okay.”
Then, asked if she was surprised that Jax, 45, went to rehab, Ariana replied, “Sort of. I never would’ve thought he would’ve done that.”
After confirming she and Katie Maloney, 37, were still close, Ariana added that she “really [likes]” Katie’s boyfriend, Nick Martin.
“They’re so cute together. We all went to Medieval Times together. We had a really lovely time. He’s really sweet,” she gushed.
As Ariana and Katie’s sandwich shop continues to thrive, with Ariana signaling “a really lovely Mother’s Day celebration” at the venue on Sunday, Sandoval and Tom Schwartz‘s restaurant shuttered its doors at the end of last year.
“I don’t know that I was surprised just because back when I was a little bit more close to that situation there was already, there were issues and things like that, so it wasn’t that surprising,” Ariana confessed of the news of Schwartz & Sandy’s closure.
While Ariana was questioned about how jealous she thought Lisa Vanderpump, 64, was of her success, she shut down the idea immediately, saying, “I feel like objectively, LVP is wildly more successful than I am.”
Moving on to The Valley, Ariana said she’s closest to Kristen, 42, Brittany Cartwright, 36, and Janet, 34, and Jason Caperna, 41.
“[And] I just started to get to know [Michelle Saniei] a little bit,” she added.
As for how big of a Pump Rules fan Janet was, as she’s been accused, Ariana said she wasn’t sure.
“I’ve never talked to her about Vanderpump Rules. But she has been a friend of mine for a long time,” Ariana stated.
During a shady sandwich game, Ariana was asked who wanted to be on The Valley as a full-time cast member the most between Scheana and Lala.
“I feel like Scheana, but I feel like Scheana doesn’t have to vie so much,” Ariana explained. “I feel like it comes naturally for her because she’s friends with everyone.”
Also speaking of Scheana, Ariana said that her vocalness about wanting to join DWTS may be why she has yet to be cast.
“I think they don’t like that. I feel like when it’s too… they don’t like it,” she suggested.
Ariana then named Schwartz as the Pump Rules cast member Lisa was always too easy on and described their relationship as “cordial.”
“There’s not a relationship there,” she said.
Also on the live broadcast, Ariana revealed that while she’s never spoken to Erika Jayne, 53, about Chicago, despite the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member’s appearances in the production in which she starred, she’s heard all good things about her performances.
“I wanted to go see her run this time, and I wasn’t able to, and I just was with one of our mutual castmates last night, and she had the best things to say,” she shared.
Later, after confirming she believes a Chicago return is “possible,” Ariana appeared on the WWHL: After Show, where she was asked what her dream role on Broadway would be.
“Mamma Mia is one of my favorite musicals of all time, and I’m like, ‘I could be just a townsperson,’ it’s all fine, just to be in that show would be the best,” she admitted.
