Bachelor Nation fan-favorite couple Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt found love and got engaged on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Since then, the two moved to New York City together and tied the knot in September 2023.
They’ve been keeping followers updated with their lives online, and recently Serena opened up about her green card process.
As fans know, Serena is Canadian but lives here in the U.S. with her husband Joe.
Last week, Serena shared that her green card interview didn’t go as planned because she was missing a document she needed.
So she flew back to New York, got the document she needed, and went back to Montreal for another interview at the U.S. Consulate.
This week, Serena shared the exciting news that her green card has been approved!
As she prepared for the interview, Serena said, “Second time’s the charm. … I know the length of this process can be a little bit different for everyone. I’ve got some of my grandmother’s jewelry on for good luck and I have my very big binder and it has everything that I need in it.”
She went on, saying, “Essentially, what this interview is for is to verify all the documentation that I submitted online and to ensure that my marriage is legitimate and that we got married for all the right reasons, as ironic as that is.”
Then, a few hours later, Serena posted a photo smiling with her binder of documents.
Alongside the pics, she wrote, “APPROVED ✔️After 2.5 years and many bumps along the way, this morning my US green card application was approved at my Interview in Montreal! Anyone who has been through this process knows how draining and defeating it can be at times but we finallyyyy made it!”
We are so happy for Serena and we’re excited for all that this next chapter has in store for her.
