Austen Kroll Shares the Candid Advice He Gave West Wilson After His Split from Ciara Miller

As someone who has been on Southern Charm for seven seasons, Austen Kroll knows a thing or two about navigating a romance in the public eye. 

From his past entanglements with Madison LeCroy, Chelsea Meissner, and Olivia Flowers, to his fling with Summer House's Ciara Miller on Winter House Season 1, Austen has learned a few lessons about love along the way.

As a result, he had some words of wisdom for Summer House-mate West Wilson, who navigated a romance of his own with Ciara on Season 8 of the show. "West and I talked, actually, and you know my piece of advice to him, I was like, 'Hey, look, there are people that you can maybe date [who] are not in the house,'" Austen shared on the January 30 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Austen himself has learned to take that advice, as he's currently in a relationship with Audrey Pratt — who has only appeared on Southern Charm Season 10 as his girlfriend.

West previously spoke about his friendship with Austen, who briefly dated Ciara after Winter House (and for a bit on Summer House Season 6), on an episode of WWHL in April 2024.

After expressing his frustration that his Summer House-mates kept bringing up Ciara's past relationship with Austen "all the time," West confirmed that the Southern Charm cast member reached out to him. 

"[He] was like, 'Dude, so sorry,' [and] lent a helping hand, and basically [we made] a quick little truce in the Instagram DMs," West explained on WWHL before confirming that the two later followed each other on the app.

Ciara herself reacted to the newfound friendship on WWHL the following week. "You know, this Bravo world, everyone's all connected. So, you know, I could never just have something to myself," she said.

After their summer fling came to a messy end in the fall, Ciara and West are in uncharted territory on Season 9.

According to the Season 9 announcement, Ciara "is determined to have a good single summer and not let living with her ex get in the way," though she's still "hurt" by West's past actions.

West, meanwhile, recognizes that Ciara "wants nothing to do with him," but she still has some "lingering feelings" for him
