‘Bachelor’ Winner Not Wearing Engagement Ring (& There’s a Reason)

Season 33 “Dancing With the Stars” champ Joey Graziadei is still very much engaged to Kelsey Anderson. However, Anderson hasn’t been wearing her engagement ring, which caused some concern amongst fans.

On January 12, Anderson made a TikTok explaining why she decided to take the ring off — and it has nothing to do with the status of her relationship.

“I realize that it causes excess wear and tear whenever I wear it, like whenever I work out, you know just wear it all the time. I’ve been trying to practice taking care of it better, putting it away whenever I get home or whenever I’m working out,” she explained.

Anderson said that she ended up warping the ring while wearing it, which caused one of the diamonds to fall out. “Now I’m trying to be more responsible,” she said.

Graziadei proposed to Anderson on the finale of his season of “The Bachelor.”

Many fans supported Anderson in the comments section of the post. Plenty let her know that they also don’t wear their engagement rings when doing things like working out.

“I only wear mine in public and whenever I’m at home it’s not on my finger. Washing dishes, cleaning, showering, etc does create wear and tear,” one comment on the post read.

“I’m engaged too and I don’t always wear it. Idk why this isn’t universal knowledge,” someone else added.

“I used to work with diamonds & we need to normalize not wearing expensive jewelry 24/7, especially diamonds,” a third comment read.

“I never wear my ring tbh, I’m scared for something to happen to it so I wear it to his family events & I got a ‘cheapy’ ring that was like 60 bucks & anything can happen to it and I won’t care,” a fourth TikTok user weighed in.

In an interview with People magazine that was published on January 7, Anderson discussed her new partnership with David’s Bridal. In working with the company, she did a photoshoot in which she got to try on quite a few gowns.

“I’ve never tried on any wedding dress before, so this was really exciting and definitely put a lot of more thoughts into my mind because I didn’t realize how many different styles there are. I think sometimes you have an idea in your head, then you go and try it on and it completely changes,” she told the outlet.

Anderson hasn’t gone wedding dress shopping just yet, but it’s something she is looking forward to. As far as wedding planning goes, she says that’s going to start soon.

“We are planning it in the next six months. We’re not getting married this year, possibly next year or the following, because we got engaged so fast, we got engaged in two months. So we want to really take our time still getting to know each other and be really serious about the wedding, and we don’t want it to be a stressful thing. We want to be able to enjoy the process of picking out the things that matter most to us in our wedding,” she explained.
