Brandi Glanville Has Even More Questions Amid Her Ongoing Health Battle

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum Brandi Glanville opened up about her year-long health battle in December 2024, telling Entertainment Tonight in an interview that she suspects she may have a face parasite. Dr. Terry Dubrow from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” then chimed in on Glanville’s health issues, telling TMZ he thinks it is not a parasite but rather an “infectious process or a foreign body reaction to something she’s had injected.”

Now Glanville is sharing more about her efforts to identify and remedy her mystery illness in a December 19 interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.

“I don’t f***ing know. We don’t know,” Glanville answered when asked if she still thinks she has a face parasite as she initially claimed. She went on to share that she is so desperate for answers that, “You could do anything you want to me, and I’d be OK with it. I’ve had days of looking normal, not weeks. I wish. But it comes and goes.

“The pain is more mental than anything, because I have been hiding and going through a deep, deep depression. Even if I could work now, at this point, I couldn’t. So it’s just been a really rough two years for me,” Glanville added.

Brandi Glanville Stopped Her Antibiotics

Glanville also admitted to Page Six that she had stopped taking the antibiotics her doctor prescribed her for the potential parasite, only re-starting the treatment when she noticed her face “sink in.”

“I prefer [my face] when it’s a little swollen, to be honest,” Glanville told the outlet. “When it’s only swollen on one side, it’s not great. But the sinking in thing is killing me slowly, because I just feel like I look like a crackhead.”

She went on to add, “Over the weekend, it was only swollen on the right side of my face, so I looked like I had a really big meatball in the right side of my cheek.”

Brandi Glanville ‘Got Her Smile Back’

Despite still having plenty of unanswered questions, Glanville is breathing a sigh of relief now that she’s opened up about her health. She tweeted, “Something about not holding this in & hiding out any longer has really lifted a weight off. The truth will set you free,” on December 13, and in an Instagram post from the same day, she shared a selfie with her dentist, writing, “Thank you to @beverlyhillsdentalarts for helping to bring back my smile 🙏 ❤️,” while showing off her pearly-whites.
