Bravo Star Says She & Her Ex-Husband ‘Had So Much Fun’ During Their Marriage

“Vanderpump Rules” alum Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are opening up about their relationship.

Maloney made an appearance on the premiere episode of Schwartz’s new podcast, “Detox Retox with Tom Schwartz,” which was released on April 22. While recording the podcast episode, Maloney and Schwartz, who divorced in October 2022 after a 12-year-long relationship, spoke about their marriage.

According to Maloney, she and Schwartz “had so much fun” together. In addition, she said she has “so many amazing memories” from her marriage to Schwartz.

Schwartz agreed with his ex-wife.

“We had many issues, but we also had so much love,” said Schwartz on his podcast.

Schwartz appeared on the April 23 episode of Maloney’s podcast, “Disrespectfully,” co-hosted by former “Vanderpump Rules” personality Dayna Kathan. During the April 23 podcast episode, Maloney said she has “a lot of fond memories” with Schwartz.

“Obviously, we stayed together for a long time because it wasn’t all bad,” said Maloney on her podcast.

Maloney also said that she and Schwartz “always had a really good friendship.” She said she and her ex-husband are in a good place and have drawn “healthy lines” with each other.

Schwartz also shared he is glad that they are in a better place.

“I’m so fond of the time we had together. I’m happy we’re still friends,” said Schwartz to Maloney.

Katie Maloney Explained Why She Decided to Separate From Tom Schwartz

Maloney discussed her decision to initiate her divorce from Schwartz during a May 2022 episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, hosted by Becca Kufrin. Maloney said she realized that she needed to leave her marriage because she was “not happy.” She said while ending her relationship with Schwartz “gutted” her, she “felt a huge sense of relief.” Maloney explained that she was “bogged down by a relationship that wasn’t serving [her].”

“Everything I had been doing, I no longer had to do anymore. I did not have to be concerned and live for someone else. It was a decision of like I get to make decisions for myself. And everyday it’s like what am I going to do today to make myself happy? I no longer needed the validation of another person,” said Maloney during the 2022 interview.

Maloney also said she was not concerned about the public’s opinion about her split from Schwartz.

“It so doesn’t matter what people say about this because, ultimately, it’s my life,” said Maloney.

Maloney is currently in a relationship with musician Nick Martin. Schwartz confirmed he is single during the April 2025 episode of “Disrespectfully.”
