Season 20 “Dancing With the Stars” champ Rumer Willis is set to star in Hulu’s “Doctor Odyssey.” The actress shared the news on Instagram on February 17.

“Stay tuned for some sexy shark bait…coming to your screen VERY soon,” Willis captioned the post. Willis will play the role of a woman who gets attacked by sharks after a boat she was on goes under. Based on the preview, there’s a daring rescue and then it’s all-hands-on-deck to help Willis’ character recover.

The episode will be available for streaming on Thursday, March 6, and will air in two parts. It’s unknown if Willis will only appear in the two episodes or if her role will be recurring.


Fans Reacted to Rumer Willis’ Post

After Willis shared the exciting news, many of her fans took the comments section of the post to react.

“I watched season 1, and I thought it was just terrible, but it became my guilty [pleasure]. Viewed some of their histories were just [sick] but even like that I stayed [interested] and I will be back for another season. Hoping [it’s good],” a fourth comment read.

Willis is also set to star in two upcoming movies. According to her IMDb page, she portrayed Katherine Atherton in “Trail of Vengeance” and is set to star in “The Gun on Second Street,” which is currently in pre-production.


Rumer Willis Is Busy as a Single Mom

Aside from working in the entertainment business, Willis is also a dedicated single mom to her daughter, Lou.

During a Q&A on her Instagram Stories in August 2024, a fan asked Willis if she and Derek Richard Thomas were still together.

“Nope. I am single momming it and coparenting,” she replied. “I’m so grateful for Lou She is the best thing in my life and I’m forever grateful 1 was able to have the time in that relationship for her to come into my life,” she added.

In addition to having Lou at home, Willis also welcomed a new member to her family. On February 14, she announced that she adopted another dog during a recent trip to Mexico.

“Tennessee the newest addition to our little pack of Willis Women. The sweetest most tender gal. We love you so much already. Thank you to the incredible team at @acredogs ( Dolores is from here too) for helping us find our new family member,” she captioned an Instagram post.

“We will share the whole story of her adoption in Mexico soon,” she added.
