The Denver Broncos surprised many folks with their sudden rise in the AFC West last season, and as a result, expectations have been raised for the 2025 campaign. That’s due in large part to the success quarterback Bo Nix enjoyed as a rookie last season, and unsurprisingly, he will play a big role in determining how successful the Broncos’ year ends up being.
On the field, Nix showed remarkable poise as a rookie, as the numerous big moments Denver found itself in never phased him. In order to get himself ready to go for games, Nix is often hard at work behind the scenes, and he recently showed fans a behind-the-scenes look at his training routine in a video uploaded on his new YouTube channel.

The Broncos shocked the collective NFL world when they selected Nix with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Nix was not expected to go nearly that early in the draft, but Denver zigged when everyone else zagged. Head coach Sean Payton said he felt confident that Nix could be the team’s quarterback of the future, so they pounced on him when no one was expecting it.
Nix struggled out of the gate, but he eventually found his footing for the Broncos as the season went on. The former Oregon Duck started all 17 games for Denver, throwing for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns, while also rushing for 430 yards and another four touchdowns. When all was said and done, Nix’s strong play earned him a third-place finish in the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Thanks in large part to Nix, the Broncos found their way into the postseason, but they were quickly eliminated by the Buffalo Bills in the wild card round. A statement was made, though; Denver is back, and they have their new franchise quarterback in Nix leading the way. That has set the stage for what is a mightily important 2025 season.
The front office worked hard on upgrading Nix’s supporting cast over the offseason, as they signed J.K. Dobbins to be their starting running back, while also trading for Evan Engram to be their top tight end. If Denver is going to be successful, though, Nix needs to be great, and he recently showed some of the work he does off the field in order to give him the ability to play his best football for the Broncos.
Bo Nix Looking to Build Off of Strong Rookie Season

Winning in the NFL is always great, but now Nix and the Broncos are going to face heightened expectations in 2025. After sneaking into the postseason last year, the team and its fans will be looking to get back to there at the bare minimum, with a deeper playoff run being the ideal scenario.
Again, much of this is going to fall on Nix’s shoulders, but as he shows in this video, he’s ready for whatever comes his way. If he can put his new weapons on offense to use right away, Denver is going to pick up right where they left off, which means they very well could become one of the most dangerous teams in the league very early in the season.
