Carl Radke Swears ‘On the Holy Bible’ He Didn’t Plan To Split With Lindsay Hubbard

As the Summer House reunion looms, fans and cast members alike are still processing what went down in the Season 8 finale. Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke had their long-awaited sit-down.

Carl Radke swears he didn't plan on breaking up with Lindsay.

The former publicist thought they were going to discuss Carl’s career, but the conversation took a dramatic turn.

Nowadays, the Loverboy employee is claiming that breaking up with Lindsay wasn’t what he envisioned for the conversation.

Carl reminisced about the “embrace they could have had”

Carl explained his intention during the Summer House After Show, post-Season 8 finale. He thought he was simply expressing how dire his feelings were. The expectation was that Lindsay would come to some sort of realization.

“That last conversation, I swear on the Holy Bible and everything, if [Lindsay] was like, ‘Hey, you know what? I hear you, I see that you’re upset and scared and worried, I don’t want to lose you. I want to make this work,’ I would’ve f-cking jumped through her arms,” Carl explained. “The embrace we could’ve had, connecting like that — we never were able to come together, in my opinion, to that level.”

He added, “Ultimately I walked into that apartment the last day hoping we could get on the same page. But as soon as we started talking, nothing I could’ve said to her in any of those moments could’ve changed the outcome.”

Carl remembers only stating concern about the wedding and suggested that Lindsay was the one to pull the plug.

“From my honest to God memory, I expressed concern about moving forward with the wedding, and her response was, ‘You’re calling the wedding off,'” he said on the Summer House After Show.

Lindsay was proud that she “stayed strong”

For her part, Lindsay recalled an”awful” “moment” of “absolute shock.”

“I thought I’d sat down to repair our conversation about careers, and what I was met with was betrayal,” the Bravolebrity said. Not “betrayal” just someone else’s feelings that weren’t exactly matching hers.

Lindsay’s reaction is one that she is proud of, and one fitting of her personality.

“I stayed strong,” she explained, “And when someone is betraying me, I don’t give them my emotions anymore. If you’re the cause of, like, an ultimate betrayal, you don’t have access to my emotions. I’ll share them with other people but you do not have access to that anymore.”
