Charity Lawson Reveals How Kelsey Can Support Joey on DWTS
Charity Lawson admitted to Us Weekly that Dancing With The Stars is “a lot” on contestants and their partners. She had just gotten engaged to Dotun Olubeko when he surprised her with the announcement she was asked to join DWTS. They vowed not to let the show affect their relationship like it has previous Bachelor Nation stars who competed on the show. Dotun showed up every week to support her in the live studio audience.
“For Dotun, he was working at the time, so I think he also was able to kind of keep himself occupied. It was like we both had full-time jobs and then we made the most of the little time that we did have to have date nights and try to fit that in.”
She said that Joey Graziadei’s fiance, Kelsey Anderson, could reach out to Dotun if she needed help navigating the situation. In the meantime, the Season 20 Bachelorette had some advice of her own to share.
“So honestly for Kelsey, like, just trying to find those moments to connect with Joey as much as possible. [And] I would just tell her not to read too much into it. Be a supportive partner.”
Charity’s advice not to read too much into it could be a reference to Bachelor Nation fans already concerned about the chemistry between Joey Graziadei and his pro partner, Jenna Johnson.
What She Regrets About Her Time On The ABC Dance Competition
Charity Lawson came in fourth place on Season 32. She recently opened up about her pro dancer partner, Artem Chigvintsev’s, arrest on domestic violence charges.
She admitted to Us Weekly that her time on the show wasn’t as fun as she’d hoped.
“I wish for myself that I was able to have a lot more fun than I did. It starts off very fun, but then once you get in the nitty gritty, it becomes really hard.”
Joey Graziadei Shows Off His Moves
Bachelor viewers were less than impressed by Joey Graziadei’s moves during a dancing date with Rachel Nance. But it seems he’s improved a lot under Jenna Johnson’s instruction.
Do you think Joey and Kelsey will survive his time on Dancing With The Stars?
