Craig Conover Admits He Almost Kissed ‘Southern Charm’ Co-Star

Craig Conover revealed that he once came this close to kissing Madison LeCroy, but opted not to break bro code. The “Southern Charm” star made the surprising reveal during the March 27 edition of the “Watch What Happens Live After Show,” after a fan asked about his past with the blonde beauty.

On Andy Cohen’s late-night show, Conover, 36, explained that a romantic moment was averted years earlier when Shep Rose and Whitney Sudler-Smith rented a beach house and invited him and LeCroy to stay there.

“We went for a walk on the beach and we were both sitting on a rock,” Conover recalled of an alone moment with LeCroy. “And we both just decided not to do it (kiss).”

Conover’s co-star, Austen Kroll, dated LeCroy for two years before she married her husband Brett Randle in 2022. During the “Watch What Happens Live” episode, he admitted that a Craig and Madison hookup would not have shocked him in the least.

“I think it makes sense,” Kroll admitted. “I know that there’s like this infamous walk on the beach that they took and I’m shocked that they didn’t [kiss] to be honest.”

Kroll then addressed Conover with, “I feel like you always were like “No, no man never,’ you know. But it’s obvious that you guys had an attraction.”

When host Andy Cohen asked if Kroll and LeCroy were broken up at that point, Kroll said the beach walk happened before they even met. “So, I wish Craig would have!” he joked.

Conover explained, “Madison used to date my best friend from home for years, so we’ve known each other, Madison and I have known each other longer than [anyone].”

When Cohen noted that a kiss would have “broken like a big old bro code,” Conover explained why he and LeCroy didn’t go for a kiss. “I think we just decided to stay friends,” he said.

The Southern Charm Cast Members Kiss and Tell

Fans know that many of the “Southern Charm” cast members have dated each other.

In a “Southern Charm After Show” segment titled “Who Kissed Who?” the cast members were given whiteboards and were asked to connect the co-stars who’ve kissed. “We almost kissed, remember?” LeCroy said to Conover.

“Yeah, we did. We chose not to,” Conover recalled.

In 2022, Conover told Bravo Insider that everyone has cross-dated. “Charleston is a small town,” he said of his South Carolina hometown. “It’s an incestuous small town where no matter what’s happening, you’re always around exes.  …You have to deal with it a lot.”
