Craig Conover’s front yard is getting a much-needed makeover.
In the years since purchasing his Charleston abode, the Southern Charm cast member has completed a slew of home renovation projects, including an ambitious backyard transformation that was nothing short of stunning. And while Craig regularly showcases the space on social media, he's yet to provide a full look at the home’s front yard. Why? Well, it’s still a work in progress.
Craig Conover is making big changes to his front yard
The Sewing Down South boss revealed this in a recent video diary that documented his busy workday. The September 15 TikTok began with a shot of Craig’s front yard, which was pretty much a dirt driveway. A cement truck was seen parked outside the home as several workers stood in the background with their tools. Craig didn’t reveal what kind of upgrades he had in store but said he was preparing the yard for unspecified events.
“Dear, Diary: Today, I met with my landscaper doing my front yard,” he said at the beginning of the TikTok. “[I’m] getting ready for some festivities.”
Craig's girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, expressed concern about his yard
Craig spoke about his front yard project during the March 9 episode of Pillows and Beer, a weekly podcast series he hosts with his Southern Charm castmate Austen Kroll. The Delaware native confessed that his front yard had become a dumpster-occupied eyesore and looked nothing like his backyard oasis.
“It’s funny because if you look past the 8-foot fence, it’s like a gorgeous Florida resort back there, but the front yard...” he said. “Even Paige [DeSorbo], last weekend was like, ‘Craig, what are we gonna do about the front yard?’ And you know, Kev, my landscaper, was here today and he’s like, ‘Hey, I am waiting to pull the trigger,’ but … I’m gonna redo everything. Like the driveway’s gotta come up, you know? It’s old, it’s cracking.”
Craig on improving his outdoor space: "I owe it to the neighbors"
Craig said he “loved” looking at his backyard whenever he sat down for dinner and wanted to have that same feeling whenever he pulled up to his front yard.
“I owe it to the neighbors, too,” he admitted. “I’ll probably pull that trigger in July. So I have a dumpster there now because it makes cleaning up so easy. My house is out of the construction phase… but there’s a lot of cleanup and a lot of stuff I don’t need.”
Craig gushes over his Charleston backyard
Craig recently revealed that his most recent “splurge” was his home’s backyard. He touched on the space in an interview with Life & Style magazine, saying he designed the area to bring him joy.
“I basically built everything that makes me happy,” he told the outlet before listing the yard's next-level features. “[I have] an outdoor kitchen, a big-screen TV out there that I can watch from the pool. We’ve got our bees and our garden.”
