Former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Jodie Sweetin opened up about parenting her two teen daughters and shared their surprising reaction to her “Full House” fame.
Sweetin, who was eliminated during week 8 of “DWTS” season 22, got her start playing Stephanie Tanner on “Full House” as a child, but her daughters, Zoie and Beatrix, apparently have never been interested in their mom’s sitcom.
“Even when they were little, they were like, ‘It’s weird,’” Sweetin shared with People ahead of a live taping of her podcast “How Rude, Tanneritos!” Sweetin went on to reveal that Zoie, 17, and Beatrix, 14, were never interested in watching “Full House” at all. “I’m sure my mom or dad, when the kids were little, [were] like, ‘Oh, you want to watch mom on the show?’ And even at 2, they were probably like, ‘No.’”
Will Sweetin’s Daughters Follow in Their Mom’s Footsteps?

Jodie Sweetin’s oldest daughter, Zoie Herpin, whom she shares with ex-husband Cody Herpin, made a cameo on season 2 of the “Full House” reboot, “Fuller House,” but she doesn’t seem to be pursuing an acting career. “Zoie is more my athlete, and that’s kind of her thing,” Sweetin explained. According to Zoie’s Instagram she is an avid soccer player.
Sweetin’s younger daughter, Beatrix Sweetin Coyle, whom she shares with ex-husband Morty Coyle, is more likely to take after her mom. “My younger one, Bea is a performer,” Sweetin shared, adding, “…if you just let her go, she will figure out how to put on a show somewhere.”
Sweetin’s Thoughts on Former Co-Star AShley Olsen Becoming a Mom

Jodie Sweetin’s former “Full House” co-star, fashion designer Ashley Olsen, welcomed her first child, a son named Otto, in 2023 with her husband Louis Eisner. For Sweetin, it was a strange feeling, as Olsen, along with her twin, Mary-Kate, played Michelle Tanner, the baby of the sitcom family.
“I think it’s how the adults [on the ‘Full House’ set] felt for us,” Sweetin explained. “When we came around with our kids, they were just like, ‘This is so weird. You’re old enough to have a child, what?’”
Although the Olsen twins declined to take part in the “Full House” reboot, they reunited with Sweetin and the rest of the cast off-screen for the 2022 funeral of their TV dad Bob Saget.
