Daniel Dubois has now filed a lawsuit against promoter Don King, alleging that he has not been paid for his fight with Trevor Bryan on June 11.

The young British heavyweight travelled to Florida and KOd King's fighter to claim the WBA 'regular' heavyweight belt just under two months ago.

The bizarre show was held in a small casino venue in Miami, Florida after being put together by the iconic and infamous American promoter.

King, now 90, has previously been sued across several different decades by the likes of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Lennox Lewis.

Dubois is alleging breach of contract because he has not been paid for the bout with Bryan.

The WBA ordered the fight at the start of the year and, as King and Dubois' promoter Frank Warren were unable to reach a deal, it went to purse bids.

In March, King won with a very large bid of $3.1million (£2.6million), which beat the bid of $2.5million (£2.1million) from Warren.

As a result, he chose to stage it in the US to give his man home advantage.

This did not work out as planned though, and Dubois KOd Bryan in round four to take his secondary heavyweight belt.

Of the winning $3.1million purse bid, Dubois was due 45 percent ($1.4million).

He is now suing for between $463,274 (£380,767) and $938,274 (£771,172).

The reason for the discrepancy in figures is that $42,066.01 of Dubois' purse was due to be paid to the WBA for sanctioning fees and $420,660.12 was due to be paid in tax as a foreign national fighting in the US.

A fee of $1,200 was also due to be paid from Dubois' purse as a WBA manager's licence fee to his manager Martin Bowers.

Dubois' camp are unsure if King has already paid these fees or not.

Dubois' promoter Warren also agreed to pay King $475,000 as a licence fee for the bout to be shown on BT Sport in the UK.

Dubois' camp agreed to credit King for this fee, leaving $463,274 as the amount Dubois was supposed to receive.
