The Golden Bachelorette contestant Pascal Ibgui has been forming a strong relationship with leading lady Joan Vassos, but will he win her heart at the end of the season? Joan, a 61-year-old private school administrator from Rockville, Maryland, is also a mother of four and a grandmother of three. She lost her husband of 32 years, John, to pancreatic cancer in 2021. Joan began her journey to find the second great love of her life on Gerry Turner's Golden Bachelor season, but she had to leave early due to a family emergency.
During The Golden Bachelorette season 1, Joan began her experience with a group of 24 men from whom to choose. Pascal became a frontrunner to receive Joan's final rose after their incredible one-on-one date in Las Vegas. They formed a very deep connection. Is Pascal the one for Joan?
Who Is The Golden Bachelorette's Pascal Ibgui?
Pascal Opened Up To Joan About His Life
Pascal is a 69-year-old French salon owner, father, and grandfather, who currently lives in Chicago, Illinois. He has an appreciation for the finer things in life, as evidenced by his designer clothes and expensive tastes. For their one-on-one date, Joan and Pascal flew to Las Vegas via a private jet. They had fun trying on various fashionable outfits. They also had a private concert from legendary singer Wayne Newton, during which they shared a dance.
During their dinner, Pascal opened up to Joan about his difficult childhood in Paris. He told her that his family didn't have much when he was growing up, and that he didn't feel love and support from his parents. Joan was very happy that Pascal opened up to her and that she was able to get to know him on a deeper level. They shared many kisses throughout the date, and they grew very close.
Does Pascal Ibgui Win Joan Vassos' Heart At The End Of The Golden Bachelorette?
Pascal Self-Eliminates From The Show
According to an Instagram post from Reality Steve, Pascal didn't win The Golden Bachelorette, but he made it very far in Joan's season. Reality Steve shared that Pascal received one of Joan's hometown dates, along with Jordan Heller, Guy Gansert, and Chock Chapple. Joan said goodbye to Jordan after her hometown dates, which meant that Pascal, Guy, and Chock received her Fantasy Suite dates, which took place in Tahiti.
However, Reality Steve shared that, at either the final three or the final two, Pascal self-eliminated from The Golden Bachelorette because he wasn't in love with Joan. Guy placed either second or third. In the end, Joan chose Chock, but Reality Steve isn't sure if they're engaged.
Joan and Pascal were forming a deep connection, and he seemed very interested in pursuing a relationship with her, so it'll be interesting to see what makes him decide that he's not in love with her. Hopefully, his self-elimination won't be too devastating to Joan, and the feeling will be mutual. No matter what happens, it's wonderful to hear that Joan found happiness with Chock. Perhaps Pascal can continue his journey to find love as the star of The Golden Bachelor season 2.
