DWTS Pro Shares Update on Gruesome Injury

Will “Dancing With the Stars” pro Rylee Arnold‘s injury sideline her permanently from the live tour? In late March, she shared the news about her ankle injury and seemed optimistic about her recovery. A more recent update has fans understandably concerned.

On March 28, Arnold posted a video on Instagram to let fans know that she had gotten hurt mid-performance at the Salt Lake City, Utah show.

“I just wanted to give you guys a quick update. I’m sure you’ve heard or probably saw last night at the Salt Lake City show, I injured and sprained my ankle in one of my dances and was not able to continue dancing for the rest of the show,” Arnold explained in the video.

She added, “But good news! It is not broken. It is sprained, but I just need to take this time to heal and make sure that I can return back to the show.”

Kailyn Rogers, a swing on the tour, has been filling in for Arnold.

“I am determined to get better and I want to do everything in my power to get back to you guys and to perform for all of you,” Arnold noted.

Fans Are Concerned About Rylee Arnold’s Recovery

On April 1, Arnold shared a photo of her foot on her Instagram Story and it looked heavily bruised. “Current ankle status,” she noted on the photo, adding a melting face emoji.

In a Reddit discussion about Arnold’s photo, fans shared their concern, with many wondering if the pro will return to dancing in the “DWTS” tour soon.

“I’m no medical professional but taking a few days off seemed like wishful thinking to me,” one fan wrote. “I know people want to see her but she has to keep her long term health in mind.”

Another person agreed, writing, “Definitely. This doesn’t look so good. I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s out for the rest of the tour.”

Others shared their hope that Arnold will take the necessary time to heal. “I wouldn’t be surprised if this takes her out for the rest of the tour honestly,” one person shared. Another fan added, “I’m thinking the same thing. Tour will be over in a few weeks and if she’s not 100% healed then why risk it.”

“That would be the smart move,” another person commented, pointing out that it’s better for Arnold to be 100% when “DWTS” starts up again. “Rest up as much as possible before next season and not risk any injury that may require surgery and knocks her out even more,” they added.

Another fan agreed, saying, “I’d rather have her sit out of tour than try to dance on it and damage it where she can’t do the show.”
