DWTS Pros React to Alexis Warr’s Surprise Casting on ‘Strictly’ [VIDEO]

Alexis Warr is having a great week after it was announced that she would be joining BBC’s dance competition “Strictly Come Dancing” as one of the show’s professional dancers. Joining Warr is Australian-born Julian Caillon.

The pair will join 18 other professionals on the show, replacing Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima, who left last year, BBC reports. This is big news in the dancing world, and Warr was previously a part of the dance troupe of “Dancing with the Stars,” so she knows all the pros. And the DWTS professional dancers have reacted to the news of Warr’s latest gig with messages of love and support.

DWTS Pros Show Alexis Warr Some Love

In an Instagram post shared by the BBC press office’s Instagram account on July 27, DWTS pros flooded the comment section to show Warr some love. “Yesss my girl @alexis_warr love you! Proud of you!!!!,” Emma Slater commented. “Let’s go @alexis_warr you are a star can’t wait to watch you dine,” Julianne Hough reacted. Her brother, Derek Hough, also shared his thoughts, writing, “@alexis_warr so proud of you! You have been relentless in your pursuit and deserve all the success. Let’s go!”

Other reactions include one from Pasha Pashkov, who wrote, “Yes!!!!! Congrats you two.” Jenna Johnson showed her support by tagging Warr and writing “Yess,” followed by a star emoji. And Lindsay Arnold commented with, “Yay!!!!! So happy for you @alexis_warr.”

Alexis Warr Gives an Update About ‘Strictly Come Dancing’

“I’ve admired Strictly for years, so joining this incredible family is such an honor,” Warr said in a statement, BBC reports. She has also given a glimpse into her time on the show with videos and photos that she posted on Instagram.

On July 28, she also posted an adorable video on Instagram showing how she told her parents of her big news. “Telling my parents that their little girl’s dreams are coming true,” she wrote in the caption.
