DWTS Season 33 returns to ABC tonight after taking a break for the Presidential Election. The 500th episode is set to air at its regularly scheduled time, piquing fans’ interest for what’s to come.
While tonight’s new episode will surely be exciting, many fans feel frustrated over the last two episodes of the season. What’s going on?
Fans Feel Annoyed With The Upcoming DWTS Season 33 Finale Already
As TV Shows Ace previously shared, the 500th episode will likely have some tear-jerking moments. Since DWTS premiered in 2005, there have been many memorable moments on the stage, including some heartbreaking ones.
But at the end of the evening, it will surely be a remarkable experience.
Sadly, many fans don’t have hope for the remainder of the season. The DWTS Season 33 finale will be three hours long again this year. In other words, it seems like there will be a final five instead of a final four, as was also the case with Season 32. On Reddit, viewers vocalized their frustration and concern.
“Last year the 1st hour of the 3 was basically a recap of the whole season with clips we have already seen 🥲 and when they announced the winner the show ended almost immediately. I hope this year we get to see a few minutes of the celebration for once 🥲🥲” one viewer pointed out.
Others said they didn’t mind the five-person finale since it meant more screentime for the widely beloved contestants this season. Several DWTS fans said they really aren’t sure who will win this year.
Other comments included:
- “Honestly I’m fine with a 5 person finale if that means Chandler is gonna be there”
- “Honestly, I feel like people love Stephen, Joey, Chandler, Ilona and Danny so much, this would kind of make sense to me. Maybe they’re forgo elimination this week then (hopefully) Dwight will be the semis elimination, and (most) everyone is happy because their favs make the finals”
- “Ugh am I the only one who doesn’t like the idea of this? While it is sad to see people go during the semis, top 3-4 has WAY more novelty & excitement than a whole ass 5 people being there. It’s called the ‘Finale’ for a reason”
What Will Tonight’s Elimination Look Like?
If the DWTS Season 33 finale does indeed take place on November 26 and there will be five contestants competing, that likely means either tonight’s episode or next week’s episode won’t feature an elimination at all.
Of course, nothing is official until it happens onscreen. Anything could still happen.
