The 2025 DWTS tour got off to a rocky start earlier in the month. Poor weather conditions and a water issue in the city forced the cast members to postpone their first show in Richmond, Virginia.
However, that’s certainly not the end of unexpected hiccups for the performers. This afternoon, the official tour account announced that yet another show had been canceled.
See which show isn’t going on as expected and what ticket holders need to know.
Some of the January shows for this year’s DWTS tour will sadly have to be postponed. Chaotic weather situations are causing headaches and complications for performances.
The January 21 show in Buffalo, New York is no longer happening as scheduled due to the winter storm. Reigning champions Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson were expected to perform at the show tonight, which makes the disheartening news even worse.
“Due to the mayor of Buffalo declaring a state of emergency with the ongoing lake effect snow storm, tonight’s show at Shea’s has been postponed,” the official DWTS tour account shared, which cast members reposted. “New information about this show will be provided to ticket purchasers via the official ticket provider and venue channels once it is available. We send our best wishes to everyone in and around Buffalo impacted by the storm.”
While it’s certainly disappointing news, it seems that the Buffalo mayor made the right call.
According to local news station WIVB, “Travel will be difficult with poor visibility through Wednesday night. Wind gusts will reach 30 mph with a snowfall rate of 1-2″ per hour. Downtown Buffalo is expected to receive up to a foot of snow, with higher totals in the Southtowns. … Extreme cold is also a threat. Wind chills will dip as low as 0 to -25 degrees.”
On the official Instagram post, many ticket holders expressed disappointment. Most understood the situation. After all, there’s little the theater or tour cast can do once the mayor declares a state of emergency. And on top of that, most realized lives and safety were more important than the show.
