On April 6, The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member dyed her brunette hair even darker and showed off the glamorous result.
"Happy Sunday friends!" Emily began in the caption of her post before crediting hairdresser Roya Falahi for her beautiful work on the West Coast mom's tresses. In the snapshot, we could see how Emily opted for a deeper, richer brunette hue with chesnut and espresso undertones.
"Dark hair or light? Which is your favorite?" Emily, who has rocked sunnier highlighted brunette locks in the past, asked her followers.
Her bestie, Gina Kirschenheiter, wrote, "Dark!" while Heather Dubrow gave her two cents on the change up: "Stunning!"

Emily first documented her darker hair journey back in November 2024, shifting from her usual chestnut brown to a much darker shade.

She teased the transformation on her Instagram Story on November 21, sharing a range of hair color samples and asking her followers, "New hair! Should I go lighter or darker?" Ultimately, Emily and her stylist chose rich "coffee colors," specifically inspired by "espresso" and "americano" tones.

Also around that same time, Emily debuted a shorter hair look.
"Who cuts their hair off on Christmas Eve?" she joked over the selfie that showed off her new chop. "Me," she answered, tagging her Orange County hair stylist.
The last time Emily had her hair this short was back in May 2023. At that time, she explained that she needed to "simplify" her life. Later, she revealed that the major haircut was also a way of coping with the loss of her beloved dog, Fisker.
"Two days later I had a hair appointment and couldn't stop crying," Emily wrote in a July 2023 Instagram Q&A. "I asked her to remove all my extensions and cut my hair. I felt so heavy with grief that for some reason cutting off my hair felt therapeutic."
Emily also shared a heartwarming photo on her Instagram feed, posing with her three kids outside their home. Her husband, Shane Simpson, was behind the camera taking the picture. In the festive shot, Emily’s dark brown hair almost blended seamlessly with her black sweater and pants, standing out against the bright, colorful holiday decorations surrounding them.
Bravolebrities and Emily's RHOC castmates fawned over her new hair transformation. "The hair!!!!!!!" Gina wrote. "Love!!!!!!!!!!!!"
