The Dancing with the Stars 2025 tour started ambitiously, with places all over America on the schedule. However, not every stop has been going as planned. 81 shows were set to happen, and the fandom was gaga to see Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik on stage. But in a rather unpredictable turn of events, multiple shows had to be canceled. In fact, even the opening show was canceled!
The DWTS tour was supposed to have its opening show on January 7, 2025. But in a sudden turn of events, the tour’s official Instagram page went on to make an announcement. They went on to announce that due to water outages and a conserve water advisory in Richmond, VA, the show would be rescheduled to January 8th. What’s worse?
Well, that show did not happen on the 8th either. Yet, after the barrage of drama, Dancing with the Stars Tour 2025 finally kicked off on January 9th. They kicked off their second show on January 17, 2025. And they planned the next one for January 25th in Buffalo. Turns out, it just might be disappointment yet again for Nedoroscik fans!
But the Dancing with the Stars Tour Instagram page went on to post an update again on 21st January. “Due to the Mayor of Buffalo declaring a state of emergency with the ongoing lake-effect snowstorm, tonight’s show at Shea’s has been postponed.” For those who bought the tickets, this feels like a punch in the gut. However, the update did not stop there.
The post continued and went on to say, “New information about this show will be provided to ticket purchasers… We send our best wishes to everyone in and around Buffalo impacted by the storm.” So what about the netizens who have tickets? Well, it looks like the fandom will have to bear the weight of yet another Stephen Nedoroscik show being canceled.
While the decision is understandable, fans couldn’t help but write, “I’m so sad! But understand this decision. It’s a cold one today!” The ongoing lake-effect snowstorm has, as the netizens rightly put it, been causing bitter-cold temperatures and heavy snowfall. This has made travel treacherous, prompting officials to urge caution on the roads and around snowplows. However, there’s a flipside!
As another fan with tickets puts it, “As we drive 6 hours, then they cancel.” Evidently, there is an air of frustration too. The weather has prompted officials to advise residents to bundle up in layers to protect themselves from frostbite and hypothermia. In these conditions, making a 6-hour is no easy task. Meanwhile, the netizen wasn’t the one who made the drive. There were those who even drove in from Canada.
In fact, another sad yet frustrated fan wrote, “But this could have been announced earlier… I drove here.” The netizen might have a point here. Airlines have canceled or delayed over 2,000 flights within the US. A sign perhaps? If that seems like a precarious point, here’s another. The storm had already struck the south of the US the previous day.
As of Monday evening, the storm had begun to affect Texas. While the conditions are understandable, the fandom is heartbroken to be missing out on the Stephen Nedoroscik charm. “No, my daughter and I were so excited to see the show tonight.” A lot of fans had booked tickets for their loved ones and now stand amidst the storm of disappointment too. However, there are those who are optimistic too.
“We had tickets again; hopefully the new date works out for all of us 🤞🤞,” wrote a fan. After Richmond’s disappointment, netizens are evidently skeptical of what might come. Yet, despite it all, the Nedoroscik fandom is “looking forward to a new date!” For now, here’s to hoping that the weather clears up soon and that the netizens who drove to Buffalo are safe.
