Amanda Stanton had an interesting theory this week, and the internet couldn't hold back.
On Sunday, December 29, the 34-year-old Bachelor alum shared an Instagram Story suggesting that none other than Taylor Swift might be taking style cues from her.
"OK I know it's a stretch & I am *partially* kidding," Stanton wrote, pointing out a black embellished jacket she wore just days before the "Cruel Summer" singer was spotted in a similar style. "If this were the only occasion I wouldn't think anythingggg but this is like the 7th time so now I'm paying attention and it just....keeps happening."
While the reality TV star paired her Misa Los Angeles jacket with black pants and silver earrings, Swift, 34, donned a Simkhai coat on a date night with her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the Big Apple, accessorizing with diamond De Beers earrings and a sparkly Stella McCartney purse.
Fans, however, weren't buying the idea that the Grammy winner is secretly stalking Stanton's closet.
On TikTok, one user shared a screenshot of Stanton's now-deleted post, joking, "The delulu is real. This is so funny. 🤣" Comments quickly piled up.
"Wait! I wore black with silver sequins 2 weeks ago. Is Taylor copying me?" someone joked.
"Do you know the mental lengths you have to go to convince yourself Taylor Swift is copying you 😫😭," another chimed in.
"My grandma wore a black sequin sweater at Christmas. I think she's the real inspo," added a third.
Despite the backlash, Stanton is no stranger to supporting Swift. Last year, she flew her daughters Kingsley, 11, and Charlie, 9 — whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Buonfiglio — to Tampa, Florida, for front-row seats at the Eras Tour. "core memory. crying forever 😭," she captioned photos on Instagram from the special night.
In addition to Kingsley and Charlie, the proud mom shares daughter Rosie, 1, with husband Michael Fogel.
