Foreclosure auction looms for ‘Real Housewives’ star Kim Zolciak and former NFL linebacker Kroy Biermann

Former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and Kroy Biermann have slashed $300,000 more from the price of their Georgia mansion in a last-ditch effort to sell the home and prevent it from going to foreclosure auction.

Zolciak, 46, and Biermann, 39, who split in 2023 after 12 years of marriage, initially put the Milton property on the market in October 2023 with an aspirational ask of $6 million.

The couple, who have reportedly defaulted on several loan and mortgage payments in recent years, have come close to losing their home to foreclosure on several occasions. However, in June, their lender, Truist Bank, granted them a 90-day delay—allowing them to avoid their property being put up for auction if they managed to sell it by the end of August.

Since then, the price of the home has been dropped several times as the pair scramble to try to beat the bank’s bid to put the expansive property on the auction block.

After multiple discounts—which saw the price dropped to $5.5 million, to $4.5 million, and then to $3.95 million in August—the home’s price now sits at $3.65 million as the countdown to the Dec. 3 foreclosure auction looms.

The seven-bedroom, 11-bathroom property has been closely linked to the duo’s increasingly bitter split, with Biermann asking a court in September to “force the sale” of the mansion and to “block” Zolciak from being involved in that process.

Legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Biermann has accused his estranged spouse of “frivolous” spending, claiming that her penchant for expensive purchases had left them with just one joint asset: their marital mansion.

He asked a court to “remove [Zolciak] from any decision-making process” related to the sale of the home and enable him to offload the property for a price that he believes is reasonable.

Biermann, a former NFL linebacker, also accused Zolciak of refusing to accept an offer of less than $3.85 million because she believes that would not leave her with “enough money to purchase a home” of her own.

The documents state that “there is a $1.32 million lien against the home from the IRS” and that their mortgage lender, Truist Bank, is owed around $2.2 million. In addition, they owe $250,000 on another lien.

Biermann noted in the filing that Zolciak’s “complete disregard” of the gravity of their financial situation could have “devastating consequences” on their children. The pair are parents to Kroy “KJ” Jr., 13, Kash, 12, and 10-year-old twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren.

Zolciak also has two daughters, Brielle, 27, and Ariana, 22, from a previous relationship, both of whom were adopted by Biermann during their marriage.

Recent reports indicate that Zolciak and Biermann might still be living in the home together, despite their separation. TMZ reports that police were called to the property on Nov. 18 after the duo got into a heated argument.

Located about 30 miles from downtown Atlanta, the listing is still closer to the top of the market for the area, which has a median home price of $1.38 million, according to Realtor.com.

Realtor.com has the home’s estimated value at about $3.8 million.

The couple purchased the posh place in 2012 for $800,000. The ritzy residence includes seven bedrooms, 11 baths, a six-car garage, a billiard room, a gym with a massage room, a walk-in wine cellar, a pub, a heated pool, and a home theater.

The 15,000-square-foot home sits on 1.78 acres right off the 18th hole of a golf course.

The home, which could often be spotted as the backdrop of “Real Housewives,” had faced foreclosure last year months before the two officially filed for divorce. According to TMZ, the couple owed some $1.1 million in back taxes.
