Nathan Griffith is once again behind bars…and once again, the charge appears to be “Domestic Battery by Strangulation.”
The former Teen Mom 2 dad— and father of Jenelle Evans‘ middle child Kaiser— was arrested on Wednesday night and hauled off to jail in Las Vegas, where he remains as of press time. (The Sun broke the news Thursday morning.) Nathan was charged with Domestic Battery by Strangulation, as well as violating the terms of his probation/suspended sentence from the last time he strangled someone. (As The Ashley has previously reported, Nate pled guilty to strangling his sister in 2023. He is still currently on probation for that crime.)
In July 2024, Nathan agreed to the terms of his probation, stating he was aware that if he did not follow the terms, he would be sentenced to a minimum of 12 months in prison, with a max of 48 months. This means that if Nathan is found guilty of violating his probation terms on Wednesday night, he will be spending the next year (or more) in one of the Nevada Department of Corrections’ finest clinks.
From what The Ashley can gather, Nathan was arrested after a fight with his 21-year-old girlfriend Anastasia Biddle. The former soulmate of Jenelle was seen Live on social media briefly on Wednesday night, filming Anastasia— whom he has been in a very publicly over-the-top relationship with— telling him to get out of her car. Things appeared to escalate later that night, with Anastasia apparently calling Nathan’s mother Doris Davidson for help.
Nathan was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, and Doris was apparently not happy about it. On Thursday, Anastasia posted a screenshot of a text conversation she apparently had with Doris, where Doris writes, “Well, you told me Nate didn’t strangle you and they have him charged on domestic battery by strangulation.”
Anastasia added the comment, “I called you first man.”
Nathan is being held on a $15,000 bond for the strangulation charge, but there is no bond set for his probation violation charge as it’s currently under review. He is scheduled to go before a judge on Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
Nathan has a history of being charged with domestic battery and strangulation. In addition to the crime against his sister in 2023, Nate was charged in February 2023 with “domestic battery by strangulation” against a girlfriend (while he was married to May Oyola…naturally) in Florida. The case did not move forward because the alleged victim dropped the charges.

Nathan also had a similar altercation with his wife May in January 2024 that ended in her being arrested for domestic battery against Nate. Her charges were eventually dropped and the couple split. (It is unknown if they are still technically legally married, though, as The Ashley has found no indication that either has filed for divorce.)
In 2016, Nathan was arrested in South Carolina for attacking his then-girlfriend Jessica Henry. She told police at the time that Nate had come into her room while she was sleeping and started choking her.
In March of 2015, Nathan was arrested for domestic violence against Jenelle when he allegedly tried to rip the engagement ring he had given Jenelle off of her finger. (The incident played out on an episode of ‘Teen Mom 2.’ Who could forget a sobbing Nate screaming “Jenneeeeeellle!” in the back of a police car?!) Jenelle later dropped those charges against Nathan.
He has also been arrested numerous times for alcohol-related charges.
Nathan has been dating Anastasia since last year and the couple frequently posts extremely sappy (and sometimes downright concerning) tributes to each other on social media. In January, Nathan and his barely legal lover posted that they frequently cover each other’s eyes whenever a sex scene is shown on TV or in a movie, in order to remain pure for each other.
No…seriously.
” … We decided to do it because we don’t want to be polluted,” Nathan explained. “She covered my eyes during a sexual content scene of a woman and the very next scene it was a guy. So, now we just do it every movie we watch because yes, we have a past (which we don’t talk about) but we don’t need to go any further than that besides each other now. Our eyes are meant for each other.”
Earlier that month, Nate made another concerning post to social media, where he rambled on TikTok Live about how people in relationships should be given no privacy. Nathan highly concerned his followers during the Live, due to him slurring his words and proclaiming that it’s OK to control your partner’s phone, life and activities if you are in love.

That Live— which had more red flags than Nick Cannon has baby mamas— had Nathan proudly proclaiming that if a person allows their partner to follow people of the opposite gender on social media, you are setting them up to cheat.
“I’ve never been so happy in my entire life, I haven’t,” Nathan said, before declaring that he follows no women on Instagram, and his girlfriend follows no men.
UPDATE! On Thursday, Jenelle posted a story time to TikTok, revealing that Nathan randomly called her yesterday around 7 p.m.

“He said, ‘I need help. I usually don’t ask for help but I need help,'” Jenelle said, adding that Nate told her that he and Anastasia got into an argument.
“[Nathan told me], ‘She ended up leaving the house and now I need to leave before she calls the cops on me,'” Jenelle said. “I said, ‘What did you do? Did you make her mad, did you cheat on her?’ He’s like, ‘She thinks I cheated on her, but also, I’ve been drinking’ which he knows he’s not supposed to do because he’s on probation.”
Jenelle claimed that she gave Nate her address and he booked an Uber to get to her home.
“I said, ‘Listen, you can come over here, you can spend the night and stay in Kaiser’s room because he has a queen size bed,'” Jenelle stated. “But in a few days, you’ve got to figure out what you’re doing. But I will give you the option of trying to help you and I’m only doing that, of course, because it’s Kaiser’s father,” Jenelle said.

According to Jenelle, when Nate opened his door to get into his Uber, the cops were standing outside.
“He shut the door and…said, ‘Yeah, I’m not going out there!’ and I was like, ‘You should probably go talk to them’ and he was like, ‘No, they can call me.'”
Jenelle said she encouraged Nathan to speak to the cops, and he kept insisting that he didn’t hurt Anastasia.
“He was crying his eyes out and was like, ‘I don’t want to get arrested again, I’m gonna get arrested again!'” she stated. “I said, ‘Well, you shouldn’t be drinking, that’s your fault. But if you didn’t hit her, you need to go talk to them and tell them that.”
Nathan then claimed that it was Anastasia who attacked him, claiming he tried to leave “four or five times” and when he did Anastasia wouldn’t let him and “did circles around me.”
During this time, Nathan was apparently on FaceTime with his mom Doris.

“His mother talked to his girlfriend and his girlfriend said, ‘Look, he just got on top of me. He didn’t strangle me. But it scared me so then I called the police.'”
Jenelle claimed she was on FaceTime with Nathan for a few hours, until the cops broke into his home and tackled Nathan to the ground.
“Even though he wasn’t resisting when they arrived,” she said. “They promised Nathan, ‘We’re just gonna talk to you.’ But then as soon as he would open the door they would be like, ‘Put your hands up.'”
Jenelle insisted that she wasn’t trying to stick up for Nathan, but reminded fans that he has PTSD from being in the military.
“So when he heard that, he shut the door and got scared and started crying to me even more,” she said. “And it was really, really sad.”
Nathan— who, for some reason, had two phones– was apparently talking to Jenelle on FaceTime, while also speaking to cops on the other phone. Although the cops kept telling Nate they weren’t there to arrest him, after more than an hour, Nathan still refused to go outside his house to speak to the cops.
“That’s why [the cops] ended up coming in,” Jenelle said, adding that Nathan’s FaceTime was still running while Nate was being shoveled into the cop car.

“Once they got Nathan in the cop car, they said, ‘Oh well, at least we don’t have to deal with him for another two years because he’s going to be going to prison.’ And then they started laughing about it. And then [a cop] said, ‘Yeah, if he gives you a hard time, just tase him in the backseat.’ And they forgot to hang up on me and I heard all that.'”
This morning, Jenelle said she spoke to Nathan’s mom, who is “distraught” over what happened.
“I understand Nathan was drunk, but honestly, I mean if he was on FaceTime with his mom the whole time and the girlfriend admitted to his own mother that she didn’t get hit, I don’t understand why both of them didn’t get arrested.
“Before Nathan got arrested, they said, ‘We’ve got your girlfriend in handcuffs.’ And he’s like, ‘Why? Take her out of handcuffs!’ And they’re like, ‘No because she’s charged with domestic violence as well.’ Because I guess she bit him and he had two bite marks [on him]. He’s like, ‘She bit me! She hits me!'”
However, Nate refused to come outside to show the officers the alleged bite marks left by his girlfriend.

Jenelle said that she thinks this situation is “equally both their faults.”
She also revealed that Kaiser hasn’t seen Nathan in two years, despite the fact that both she and Nathan have been living in Las Vegas for over a year. However, she was apparently hoping this was the time to have Nathan step up as a father and be forced to stop drinking.
“I just wanted some help with Kaiser,” Jenelle said.

Jenelle said that, now that she’s single and has no man living with her, it would “be really nice if Nathan can help sometimes.”
“I was willing to give him that opportunity. And he didn’t make it out before the cops got there,” Jenelle giggled, before commenting that the situation is not funny.
“I shouldn’t be laughing. It’s sad. It was really sad to see him cry,” Jenelle said.
As for why Nate hasn’t quit drinking, Jenelle explained that Nate’s probation officer has threatened to file a violation against him if he tries to go to rehab to get help to stop drinking.
“So he can’t go get help, he can’t stop drinking, so where’s the middle here? It’s very hard for people to get into rehab in the first place, and when they’re willing to go that is the time to get them in,” she said. “I think someone needs to advocate for Nathan and I hope by me sharing this, I am hoping it’ll get back to the cops or the judge or the PO officer somehow because this time I don’t think it was entirely his fault.
“I know his intentions last night,” she continued. “He was more sad than angry. I’m not sure what really happened, but don’t take her word for it. Whatever she’s saying, whatever she’s posting, because I think both of them are in the wrong for this. And they both just need to go their separate ways.”
Jenelle then praised herself for staying single (for over a month!)

“Nathan needs to focus on himself, just like I am being single,” she said. “I’m not even going on dates or anything….[Nathan] was saying, ‘I love her so much’ and I was like, ‘I know you love her but you’ve got to get over being lonely. You just got to and it’s hard to do that. It took me almost 10 years.'”
Jenelle said she will still support Nathan.
“It’s sad to see him in that situation.”
