There are few players out there who are a better wizard with a basketball than Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. This is exactly why it comes as a massive shock that the two-time league MVP is actually incapable of performing an age-old basketball playground trick.
In a recent interview during a Team USA photo shoot, Curry confessed that he never learned how to spin a basketball on his finger.

The members of the national team took turns showcasing their ball-spinning skills. When it was Steph’s turn, however, the Warriors talisman admitted that this was actually one of the biggest shortcomings of his game:
“That is the one thing I cannot do,” he said. “… That’s one of the most embarrassing things of just me. You got me nervous even thinking about spinning the ball on my finger.”
To his credit, Curry still attempted to do it. He failed quite miserably, though.
“Can’t do it. I cant’ do it!” he exclaimed after forcefully bouncing the ball off the floor.
Curry has, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best handles in the game. Ever. This fact makes it even more bizarre to realize that spinning a basketball on his finger is actually his kryptonite.
Steph drains insane halfcourt shots with ease but somehow, he never learned this seemingly simple basketball trick. Clearly, it’s not that simple for the greatest shooter of all time.
