Grant Ellis Says He Wasn’t the One Who Ended It — The Bachelor Star Opens Up About Juliana Pasquarosa Split and Admits He Wasn’t Ready to Let Go

Less than two weeks after The Bachelor's Grant Ellis and Juliana Pasquarosaannounced their breakup, Ellis seemingly set the record straight on who broke up with who.

THE BACHELOR - "Finale and After the Final Rose" - It's a crucial week in the Dominican Republic as Grant introduces Litia and Juliana to his family. Meanwhile, Grant joins Jesse Palmer in front of a live studio audience to watch his final dates and the emotional conclusion of his journey unfold. MONDAY, MARCH 24 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC. The season 29 Bachelor addressed the split during a Instagram Live on Sunday, June 22, revealing where the exes stand now. When asked if he and Juliana still talk, he replied, "No, we don’t really talk like that."

He also hinted at who initiated the breakup - and it looks like it wasn't him.

"Why did I break up with Juliana? I didn’t break up with anybody," Ellis said while answering fan questions, noting that he’s "not heartbroken" and that "life goes on."

Later during the live, Ellis clarified that it was a "mutual" split and that he and Pasquarosa "just wasn’t for each other."

He also answered fan questions about the couple's trip to Italy, which ABC gifted them during The Bachelor's After the Final Rose episode which aired in March. Ellis said he still has his flight to Italy booked - but he'll be going solo.

As a newly single man, Ellis shared that he would not currently be open to being cast on Bachelor in Paradise and isn’t actively dating.

"I’m just taking some time to chill for a little bit," Ellis explained. "Honestly, I’m not looking for anything right now. I’m just chilling."

He also ruled out the possibility of reuniting with one of his exes from his Bachelor season.

"I don’t rekindle. I move forward… I would not get back with anybody from my past. Life is best when you move forward, not backward," he said, adding that he does not regret being on The Bachelor. "I learned a lot about myself. It was like therapy for me, honestly."

The Instagram live comes shortly after eagle-eyed fans noticed that the exes no longer follow each other on Instagram. It is unclear when the unfollowing happened and who unfollowed who first.
