Craig Conover and Paige DeSorbo’s last few months together were full of ups and downs as the two tried to navigate their future, and the hints at the end of their relationship are playing out on Season 9 of Summer House. Paige even told Ciara Miller that she was afraid she was “dating a secret hater” after feeling unsupported by her boyfriend amid her growing career — and in Episode 10, Paige floated the idea of a breakup to Ciara.
“I’ve said to him so many times, 'If this is not what you want — '” she started to say, as Ciara interrupted, “But you’re putting it on him. Because it’s so much easier to give the other person the out than to really dig deep and determine if that’s even what you want.”
Paige’s nervousness throughout the weekend in the house was so severe, she even moved out of her room with Ciara to sleep by herself. It culminated with the Southern Charm-er arriving in New York that Sunday, and having a conversation off-camera with her.
“He could tell I was like, so anxious,” she told Ciara and Amanda Batula over dinner and drinks.
What did Paige and Craig talk about off-camera?
Paige explained that the Sewing Down South founder flew up for his brother’s bachelor party, and then they sat down to have “the same conversation” they had a few weeks earlier when Craig visited the summer house and the couple awkwardly joked about an annual relationship review. Paige explained her plans to kick off her Club Giggly podcast tour in the fall had come up again.
“And then it sparked a whole conversation of like, ‘How long is it going to be like this?’” Paige told Amanda and Ciara in Episode 10. “And I was just like, ‘Look. You’re so valid in your feelings of being like, what’s going on in our relationship? But I think when you say that to me without saying, like, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, then I feel like you’re disregarding it.’”
In this second conversation, Paige told the girls Craig gave her acknowledgement that he wasn’t supporting her career.
“And he was like, ‘You’re right. I do do that. I’m sorry if I am downplaying it, but I do just like miss you and I want to do things with you,'" she said.
Paige hints at ending her relationship with Craig
Paige dropped more major hints that she was reconsidering her relationship with Craig at the end of Episode 10.
“Any way that I’m feeling, I’ll just deal with it after the tour,” she said in her confessional. “Like, I don’t have the bandwidth to deal with my emotional problems right now. Like I feel like weak even saying that. I have a job to do. And once I complete that then I’ll deal with whatever’s going on in my personal life.”
The Club Giggly tour began in early September 2024, and took its first break right before Thanksgiving — the time in which Craig has claimed Paige called him to break up. But Paige was still struggling with any decisions in August during Season 9 of Summer House.
“I almost want to forget any conversation I had with Ciara. Forget that I felt like that. And be like, ‘I was just being dramatic,’” she said on the show.a
