“If They Join, I’m In” — Maksim Chmerkovskiy Teases Comeback to DWTS for One Rumored Contestant Only

A former “Dancing with the Stars” pro just teased that he might be open to returning to the DWTS dance floor for the right partner. Maksim Chmerkovskiy already has a specific person in mind: “The Hills” alum Heidi Montag.

Chmerkovskiy teased the possibility in a TikTok video Montag posted on May 18.

Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt Have Been Buzzed Over Since Losing Their Home

This is not the first time it has been suggested that Montag and her husband, Spencer Pratt, might season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The idea initially popped up shortly after Montag and Pratt lost their California home in the January Pacific Palisades wildfire. “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough has suggested he’s all for it, and he’s not the only one.

When Montag recently crossed paths with Chmerkovskiy, the two bantered about the possibility of partnering on the upcoming season of “Dancing with the Stars.”

The way Chmerkovskiy talked about Montag, it sounded as if it were essentially a done deal that she would join season 34 of “Dancing with the Stars.”

She then said that Chmerkovskiy should be her partner, and he joked he would “unretire” to do that.

Montag then added that she would take his brother, current “Dancing with the Stars” pro Val Chmerkovskiy, as a partner instead.

Plenty of DWTS Fans Love the Idea of Casting Montag

Fans shared their thoughts on the idea on the “Dancing with the Stars” subreddit after seeing Montag’s TikTok video.

“I would love Spencer and Heidi on! Spencer with Britt [because] she can handle [his] eccentric personality and Heidi with any guy, except Gleb or Val,” one fan suggested.

Another added, ”Oooh yes Spencer and Britt would be so fun!’

“My 68 year old mother loves Spencer only because she follows him on IG for his hummingbirds, and knows nothing else about him. So he’ll appeal to a large audience lol,” wrote someone else.

“Val and Spencer are friends I could totally see it,” suggested one Reddit user.

Another “Dancing with the Stars” fan expressed their surprise that Montag had not already done the show. Fellow “The Hills” stars Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari did.

Montag’s TikTok followers were all for the possibility, be it with or without Chmerkovskiy as a partner.

Former “Housewives” star Bethenny Frankel declared, “There is no question. I’ll tell Dana.” It seems she might have been referring to Deena Katz, the casting director for “Dancing with the Stars.”
