As the second season of Down Home Fab comes to an end after just eight episodes, HGTV fans are getting antsy about the show's future. Husband-and-wife duo Cole and Chelsea DeBoer of Teen Mom 2 fame teamed up to renovate homes in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Cole serves as the project manager while Chelsea designs the spaces for dramatic transformations.
The first season was a resounding success. According to HGTV, it brought in more than 6 million viewers and received high ratings in key demographics, earning it a "fast-tracked" second season.
Chelsea's Instagram post about the season finale got a flood of messages from concerned fans who demanded more of the show:
- "How is it the finale already?!? Feels like the shortest season EVER! 😢"
- "I sure hope there is season 3!!!"
- "I wish there were more than 8 episodes! I look forward to thursdays! We need 20 episode seasons lol"
- "Please don’t end this show 😢I soo look forward to down home fab every week"
- "The season finale already???? Hope we get a season 3"
Fans will have to keep waiting, as HGTV has not made an official announcement on the show's future (Country Living reached out to HGTV for comment, but has not heard back). But one thing is for sure: Chelsea and Cole are staying busy! The parents of four opened a brick-and-mortar home goods store called Down Home by DeBoers in March. The Tea, South Dakota, shop promises online shopping soon.
