I’ve Changed My Mind, The Bachelor Season 29’s Grant Ellis Deceived Everyone, Including Juliana Pasquarosa (He’s Not Who He Says He Is)

Grant's difficulties started on The Bachelorette season 21, where he was hopeful he'd fall in love with Jenn Tran throughout the season. While Grant and Jenn's connection didn't come to fruition, it became clear that Grant was going to be one of the front-runners to become the next lead. When it was announced that Grant would become The Bachelor, it was clear that he felt ready to move forward and, Bachelor Nation had hoped, he'd worked on his issues. It seemed possible that Grant had moved forward when he began his Bachelor journey, but eventually his new persona fell apart.

He Struggled With People Pleasing

Grant Hid His Feelings & Then Got Irritated When People Made Assumptions

He Frequently Stayed Quiet

Throughout The Bachelor season 29, Grant hid a lot of the things he was feeling for the women on the cast. While he was struggling to communicate his true feelings, Grant was oversharing other pieces of his life, seemingly overcompensating for the inability to create strong bonds. Grant's difficulties with his own behavior stemmed from the tendency he has toward people pleasing, as he never wanted to hurt anyone's feelings during his time on the show.

While Grant was doing everything he could to try and make the women of his cast feel at ease, he was also struggling to keep his genuine feelings at bay. Oversharing throughout the season, Grant made it clear that he was having a tough time holding back when it came to his emotions. While he was reserved when it came to hurting some, he was sharing too much with others. Grant shared with more than one woman that he loved them during filming, but kept his more negative feelings in throughout the season.
