Jax Taylor recalled his past panic attacks, and when he tried to get publicist Lori Krebs to smoke marijuana. The Valley star also shared if he thinks he’ll have more kids, and clarified his controversial statement about estranged wife Brittany Cartwright.
During a recent episode, Jax told Brittany that a woman doesn’t need a large home like theirs amid their separation. She recently moved back into the house after Jax went to rehab for cocaine addiction and found his own apartment. In September of last year, Jax also revealed he was diagnosed with bipolar.
On his “In The Mind of Jax Taylor” podcast, Jax opened up about his mental health treatment.
“I’m not raw dogging [it]. I’m on medication right now for my bipolar disorder,” he said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “But people that are not on anything, they’re not drinking, they’re not on any pills, and they’re just going through life. Who the f**k does that? You’re on nothing? [That’s] not normal.”
Jax then recalled his past panic attacks.
“I’ve had two,” he said. “I had one at my sister’s … we were already getting on the boat and I just couldn’t breathe and I couldn’t move. And [the next one], I was at Portobello’s on Burbank and I was eating and I was sitting there and I had to call a friend to come get me. I had a full-on panic attack.”
“I ended up calling Tom Schwartz … [to] come and get me. He’s like, ‘I can’t come and get you, but come to my house.’ I called another friend. She came and got me, dropped me off,” said Jax. “[Tom]’s like, ‘Here’s a Xanax. Take half this Xanax and a beer. You’ll be fine.’ He gave me half his Xanax and I had a beer and I was totally fine after that.”
Jax then recalled when he himself tried to get Lori, his past romance, according to rumor, to smoke marijuana.
“I’ve tried to get you to smoke weed. And you [were] like ‘eh, no, no, no,’” said Jax to Lori, who was also on the podcast. “And I was like, ‘Just try it. It’ll relax you a little bit. Try it.’”
As for whether he’ll be in another relationship, Jax said, “I don’t know about that. I’m definitely never going to get married again. That’s for sure never going to happen. I’m also not going to have any more kids.”
At one point in the podcast, Jax addressed telling Brittany on the show that “a woman doesn’t need a large home like this.”
“I didn’t mean to say a woman,” stated Jax. “I [meant] any person. I don’t care who you are. In my opinion, [she] doesn’t need a home that was the size of ours when it was just [her]. Half the house she doesn’t even use, in my opinion. So I was like, why don’t you sell the house, get the money out of that equity [and] buy something a little bit smaller for you and Cruz, that’s manageable. That’s what I meant by that.”
Jax claimed he wasn’t being “misogynistic.”
“The reason we bought that huge home…” he said, “is because we thought we were gonna fill it with kids.”
