Erika Jayne is setting the record straight in regard to her interaction with Jesse Solomon at last month’s NBCUniversal Upfronts in New York City.
After facing weeks of rumors about her potential hookup with the 31-year-old Summer House star, the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star reacted to the rumors on her podcast with Teddi Mellencamp, 43, while also addressing the seven-year prison term that her estranged husband, Thomas Girardi, 86, was dealt.
“First of all, no, the alleged hookup would have taken place, they said at Watch What Happens Live in New York City after Upfronts,” Erika said on the June 13 episode of Diamonds in the Rough, via Us Weekly. “I was at home.”
Although Erika didn’t hook up with Jesse, she did admit to “flirting with two men.”
“Would I have preferred to take two home instead of one? Yeah,” she joked.
According to the report, Erika was also accused of flirting with Carl Radke, 40. However, as Erika explained, she was simply trying to be more social at the Bravo event, which she usually skips.
“[For] once in a decade, I actually talked to people that we work with because I’m such a b*tch every other time,” Erika noted as Teddi, 43, came to her defense, pointing out that both men were attractive.
“They’re both cute, but the taller one is cuter,” Erika replied.
Then, when Teddi suggested that the “taller one” may not be “good in bed,” Erika asked, “Who cares? It’s not my problem.”
“I wish I had something [more] exciting to tell you, but I don’t,” she concluded.
Also on the podcast, Erika revealed she found out about Thomas’ sentence while in London to perform in a series of shows.
“[Ten] minutes before the second show, I get the news that Tom is being sent to prison. … It just hurts,” she confessed, also via Us Weekly. “It reopens old healing wounds, and it is something that, you know, I had a sold-out crowd in a theater just for me, and I was so grateful. My happiest place in the whole world to be is on stage. So while I was happy … there’s a little piece [of me] that was like, ‘Ugh.’”
Understandably, Erika was impacted by the news.
“I was very disappointed because those people [in the audience] were there for me, and I felt like five percent of myself was feeling sorry for myself,” she explained. “I was 95 percent there, and five percent of myself was feeling sorry for myself. This was the day that he got sentenced, my second show. My first show was flawless. And my second show was great, don’t get me wrong. But there was that five percent I could have given the audience, and instead I was feeling sorry for myself.”
Although her audience “loved” Erika’s set, she was “fighting back thoughts and emotions” throughout her performance.
