Joel Kim Booster has offered a public apology to Shannon Beador after slamming her as a “pathetic drunk” and accusing her of mistreating the staff of Peacock’s upcoming series, Love Hotel.

Days after Luann de Lesseps, 59, confirmed the host apologized to the cast after the outburst, the 36-year-old comedian took to his Instagram Story with a series of posts in which he reflected on his behavior, which was preceded by an “on-set conflict” with the 60-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star.
“Re: the housewives of it all, I’ve had a lot of time to think and process about this and I wish I could say that I was not the guy who posted those statements on Instagram, but the fact is that I am,” he confirmed. “I let an onset conflict cloud my judgment and accessed the darkest, ugliest part of myself and said things I don’t stand by or even believe and I am deeply sorry that I allowed my worst self to cloud my judgment.”
In a second post, Joel acknowledged Shannon’s “extraordinarily hard year,” which included a DUI crash and a split from ex-boyfriend John Janssen, 62, who is now engaged to her co-star, Alexis Bellino, 47.
“As someone who has struggles of their own that have spilled into work, I should have had more grace for her in that moment,” Joel admitted. “I am deeply sorry for the ways in which I’ve made Shannon’s road toward stability more difficult, and hope that she makes it out the other side of this stronger, healthier[,] and with the love that she deserves in her life. I regret making this a part of the story of our show, as I’m deeply proud of the work myself, the ladies[,] and the crew put into making it.”
In a third Instagram Story, Joel made it clear that he was supportive of the staff he accused Shannon of treating “like they [were] subhuman.”
“Love our incredible crew and production staff so much and I would go to war for each and every single one of them,” he declared.
As RHOC fans may have seen, Shannon addressed Joel’s claims against her during a recent Shannon & Vicki Live! show.
“He trashed my daughters. He said that he hopes that I suffer,” she explained. “He said that he feels sorry for John Janssen. He says that I’m nothing but a pathetic drunk … It’s really gonna look silly for him because he had nothing but love for me the entire show.”
Shannon then noted that she was especially hurt by the allegations because she did “some kind things on the show.”
“People said I was kind, so it’s hard for me to walk away from an experience that I really enjoyed … to have that damper on it. But we’ll see what happens,” she concluded.
