Julianne Hough Reacts to Ex-Husband’s Big Baby News

“Dancing with the Stars” co-host Julianne Hough shared her reaction to seeing a big baby news announcement on Instagram by her ex-husband, Brooks Laich.

As People noted, Laich and Hough wed in 2017 and split in 2020. They finalized their divorce in 2022. Since the split, Hough has kept details regarding her love life quite private.

In December 2024, Laich and Islandic CrossFit Games competitor Katrín Tanja Davíðsdóttir announced their engagement. Now, the couple has also revealed they are expecting their first child together.

Hough was one of the first to congratulate the couple on their public pregnancy announcement.

Julianne Hough Sweetly Congratulated Her Ex-Husband on His News

On May 4, Davíðsdóttir and Laich revealed their pregnancy news in an Instagram post. She wrote, “Our greatest blessing 🤍🫶🏼✨ Baby Laich coming this fall. Mom & Dad can’t wait to meet you, our little one!!!!!!”

Shortly after the Instagram post went live, Hough commented. “Congratulations you two on expanding your family. This baby is already so loved,” she wrote.

Hough was similarly supportive when the couple announced their engagement.

In a comment on that Instagram post, Hough wrote, “Congratulations. I’m so happy for you both as you step into this beautiful new chapter together. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures!”

After Hough congratulated the couple on their baby news, they both added replies thanking her.

The mother-to-be replied, “Awwee thank you Jules!!!! 🥰❤️🫶🏼✨”

Laich replied to his ex-wife’s comment, as well. “Thanks Jules, cannot wait for this new adventure to begin!!! Much love!”

A fan added, “You [are] a woman with so much class. I love the way you still support your ex and his new partner! This is amazing and the way it should be.”

Hough’s brother, “Dancing with the Stars” judge Derek Hough, and his wife, former troupe member Hayley Erbert, have remained close with Laich.

Erbert commented on the baby announcement post, “No joke, I woke up this morning thinking about how excited I am to meet baby Laich!! Could not be more happy for you both!!”

“Dancing with the Stars” pro Sasha Farber commented twice, writing, “Omgggggg” and “Best news!!!!!”

Ilona Maher, who competed on season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars,” commented, “Ahhh this is so exciting! Congrats!”

Fellow show pro Emma Slater added, “Congratulations!!!!!! 😍👏👏👏”

In an Instagram Story, Davíðsdóttir shared a photo showing Laich jumping up high in the air while holding the ultrasound photos. She wrote, “HE’S GONNA BE A DAD!!!!!!!!!! my whole heart. I love this man so much. Luckiest little one in the world to get him as a dad.”
