Kailyn Lowry Is Still Obsessed With Her Ex-Husband Javi Marroquin

It's been nearly a decade since Javi and Kailyn divorced in 2017. But given Kailyn’s recent comments on social media, their relationship may not be as in the past fans think. The drama didn’t stop after their marriage ended. They’ve continued to hash it out on camera and online, arguing over everything from custody schedules to new romantic partners. Kailyn’s new post proves she’s still not afraid to interfere with Javi’s personal life, even if it puts his (and her) current relationship at risk.

At first glance, this may seem like a shameless promotion to get a PR deal or free products. But Kailyn has a connection to Wawa, and it involves Javi. She previously brought attention to the convenience chain during a 2020 episode of Teen Mom in which she claimed Javi tried hooking-up with her, despite being in a relationship with Lauren Comeau at the time.

“He pulled into the Wawa parking lot while I was getting gas,” Kailyn continued. “He was like ‘Hey, what’s up?’ And he opened [his car] door and was like, ‘I wanna f**k you, plain and simple.”

Kailyn’s comments essentially exposed Javi for cheating on Lauren (or at least trying to), even though she says she turned him down. She seemingly realized it was wrong to expose her ex-husband on camera, as she quickly issued an apology to Lauren.

“I want to publicly apologize to Lauren in regards to tonight’s episode. She didn’t deserve the humiliation she was put through due to a situation between Javi & me,” she wrote on Twitter after the episode aired.

“I’ve been in her shoes and I’ve felt that pain, however, have never experienced that being exploited on TV,” Kail’s statement continued. “I did have a private conversation with her, but owe her a public apology as well.”

Kailyn Has Allegedly Cheated With Javi

Kailyn and Javi both accused each other of cheating during their marriage, but it appears they’ve also cheated with each other, as the Wawa situation doesn’t appear to be an isolated incident. When you consider their history in a broader context, it makes it even more confusing as to why Kailyn was so quick to reference Javi just to secure a PR deal.

Lauren and Javi didn’t break up immediately after Kailyn’s accusations in 2020. He admitted to cheating on Lauren before that, having issued a public apology in 2019 for an incident (that didn’t involve Kail), not long after Lauren had given birth to their first child. But the pair finally broke up in 2021, and Lauren didn’t hold back on social media. Not only did she claim Javi’s infidelity caused their split, but she alleged he’d had an affair with Kailyn.

Kailyn was quick to deny Lauren’s accusations, saying that while Javi had tried, no affair ever happened between them. "While I have tried to avoid a he said/she said situation [by] staying quiet, the accusations Lauren made against me this afternoon on Instagram are false,” she said in a statement to In Touch at the time. "My only focus right now is creating healthy coparenting relationships with both Lauren and Kail for the sake of my boys and bettering myself,” she continued.

Kailyn Could Ruin Javi’s Relationship (and Hers)

Despite his history of cheating, Javi and Lauren got back together. They welcomed a second child and got engaged last year, suggesting they’re doing better than ever. But this makes Kailyn’s decision to reference the Wawa situation more questionable.

It's not only Javi’s relationship that’s at risk, but also her own. Kailyn is currently engaged to Elijah Scott, the father of her three youngest children. The pair have already postponed their wedding once. But if chaos continues brewing in Kailyn’s personal life – especially if it involves an ex – it won’t bode well for the long-term health of her relationship. Elijah may not stick around if the drama becomes too much to handle, or if he feels Kailyn isn’t over Javi.

It's unclear what Kailyn’s motivation was for referencing the Teen Mom Wawa scene, but it doesn’t seem entirely innocent. She may simply not care who she hurts, or what consequences her comments may have. She may not have even realized how the post could be perceived.
