Kathryn Dennis Shares Cryptic Quote After Losing Custody Battle With Ex Thomas Ravenel, Plus She Turns Down Cameo Role on Southern Charm Season 9

Kathryn Dennis seemed to react to the news of Thomas Ravenel‘s January custody win on her Instagram Story on Monday.

'Southern Charm' alum Kathryn Dennis hinted that she was gaslit after it was revealed that Thomas Ravenel had been granted permanent sole custody of their kids.

After it was alleged that Thomas had been granted permanent sole custody of Kensington “Kensie” Calhoun Ravenel, 9, and St. Julien “Saint” Rembert Ravenel, 7, after a long court battle, the Southern Charm alum, who reportedly turned down a cameo role on season nine, appeared to speak out against the judge’s decision.

According to an April 25 report from The U.S. Sun, Kathryn, whose full-time contract was not renewed for the upcoming season due to apparent no-shows and poor treatment of the crew, was offered a daily pay rate to appear on a future episode of the Bravo reality series, which is expected to be “packed full of drama.”

“I hear filming has wrapped on the latest season and she didn’t shoot at all, even though they offered her a guest appearance,” an insider said. “It’s surprising really as she has money troubles and has never had a real job, but she was being picky. To Kathryn, it’s all or nothing.”

“I heard she’s hired a new manager, but she’s been through so many and I don’t think she has anything new lined up at the moment,” they added.

As for Kathryn’s potential reaction to Thomas being awarded permanent sole custody, she’s believed to have shared sentiments through a cryptic post on her Instagram Story on Monday.

As Radar Online told readers on May 2, Kathryn posted a screenshot of a clip from a television show with a seemingly telling title: Gaslit.

The Julia Roberts and Sean Penn-led series, which is available through Starz, is based on the Watergate scandal of the 1970s and not a custody battle. But it still seemed to offer a message from Kathryn.

Southern Charm Kathryn Dennis Seemingly Suggests She Was 'Gaslit' Amid Custody Battle

As Southern Charm fans may have heard, Thomas was awarded decision-making authority over Kensie and Saint earlier this year.

“I was awarded sole custody,” Thomas confirmed to All About the Tea on May 1. “I make all the parenting decisions. Kathryn [Dennis] has the right to supervised visitation by an approved supervisor [approved by the court] between the hours of 9:00am — 7:00pm, every other weekend.”

“She’s not allowed to have overnights with the children. I will transport the children to a halfway point between Aiken and Charleston where Kathryn will pick them up,” he added.
