Bachelor Nation fans fell in love with Joey Graziadei on Season 28 of “The Bachelor,” where he found love with fiancée Kelsey Anderson.
The two have been enjoying their lives together and traveling the world since their time on the show.
Now, Kelsey and Joey are opening up about their relationship and life as a couple after their time on “The Bachelor.”
The pair recently went on the “The Viall Files” podcast and shared how their relationship has changed since their time on the show.
Joey said, “I can look at a menu now and I can pick the two things that Kelsey will order or thinks about ordering, and I kind of wait to see what she says, but I’m at the point that I definitely know.”
He continued by explaining how he and Kelsey are also not doing too much in their free time right now since they both were very busy after “The Bachelor.”
Joey shared, “We’ve been really enjoying not doing stuff for a little bit because we traveled so much when we got off our season and felt like we were pretty much living nomad lifestyles and didn’t really have any type of routine. So, for us to be able to actually get a workout in every day, to be able to sit down and have a nice meal, to go to bed at a decent time, it sounds so lame but I noticed how much it has made us really sink into just enjoying each other’s company more… We feel like a real couple I guess is the right way to put it.”
When asked how their relationship has advanced since their time on the show and if there was an adjustment period, Kelsey replied that she now feels more secure.
“I would say that, for me, I feel more secure in the relationship,” she admitted, “I always felt Joey loved me and chose me and all these things, but at the same time I think I had my own internal insecurities of this whole process. And I think that I’ve found more security in it and more secure in our relationship because of working through my own insecurities through it.”
Kelsey expanded on their relationship by sharing, “I feel like we just feel more normal. Also being able to meet his aunts and uncles and him being able to meet my whole family and friends, I think that also makes you feel a lot closer to a person. To see where they come from and who they surround themselves with, so that was really nice.”
Joey also explained how his and Kelsey’s communication and conflict resolution skills with one another has improved.
He said, “We’ve been able to learn more about each other…I think the biggest difference for us right now is if something does fester, it just doesn’t last as long because I understand what she needs to be able to have time, I understand what I need to be able to re-shift the conversation. We’re just not holding onto things as much as you would usually in the beginning of a relationship because I think we just understand each other a little bit more.”
The two were also asked about what they’ve had to learn to love about the other person, to which Joey answered that he loves Kelsey’s emotions.
He said, “I love the fact that I know exactly what she’s feeling 100% of the time…because when she’s 100% happy, it makes me even happier. I love when she is not happy with me because I don’t have to question it. She wears it on her face, I know exactly [what she’s feeling].”
Kelsey went a different route and shared that she’s learned to accept how he eats spaghetti.
She said laughing, “Whenever he’s eating spaghetti, he leans over really badly so I just literally can’t look at him. I have to look away.”
We always love hearing from these two and seeing their love shine.
We are continuing to send Kelsey and Joey love as they get closer and closer to becoming husband and wife!
