It’s been several months since rumors surfaced that Sally Beauty had discontinued the Kenya Moore Hair Care line, yet the brand remains available for purchase through the retailer.
To recap, in June, Moore sparked controversy when she allegedly shared explicit images involving “Real Housewives of Atlanta” newcomer Brittany Eady. The incident reportedly occurred during the grand opening of her hair salon while Bravo cameras were rolling. As a result, Moore lost her spot on the show, which was rumored to have prompted Sally Beauty to end their partnership with her hairline shortly after.
As of October, however, Kenya Moore’s products are still listed on Sally Beauty’s website and available for in-store pickup. Notably, only three items are currently offered: the Growth Repair Shampoo, Growth Repair Conditioner, and Restorative Growth Mask. Meanwhile, CVS, another retailer that carries Moore’s line, offers a wider range, including the Growth Serum, Repair & Retain Leave-In Conditioner, and Edges Hair Follicles Stimulator. Moore’s full collection is also available on her official website.
A July email from Sally Beauty hinted that the brand would be fully discontinued by year-end, which may explain the reduced inventory. This suggests that Moore’s products could be gradually phasing out. Despite this, Moore’s line appears to be thriving at CVS. She recently held a pop-up event at one of their stores, meeting customers and fans. Additionally, the Edges Hair Follicles Stimulator is being marketed as a CVS exclusive, further solidifying her strong partnership with the retailer.
