VanderpumpRules Alum Lala Kent Reveals She Weighed 90 Pounds After Randall Emmett Split and Admits She Has Trauma Bond With Ocean, Plus She Talks Jax Taylor’s Cocaine Addiction and Podcast Taking a Hit Over Scandoval

Soon after Ocean’s birth, Lala broke up with Randall, accusing him of cheating. Two years later, Lala fell into controversy as she kept her friendship with Tom Sandoval following his cheating scandal with Rachel Leviss.

In recent weeks, Lala’s friend Jax revealed that he’s a recovering cocaine addict and alcoholic. Lala herself became sober from alcohol in 2018.

In an interview for the When Reality Hits podcast, Lala addressed feeling “so alone” after Ocean’s birth despite having her in the “cookie-cutter way” with “a partner.” The star said she felt “kind of abandoned” by Randall, who wasn’t very “kind” to her after the birth.

“I felt like my ex robbed me of what was my right as a mom, to feel happy and peaceful,” said Lala, who shared that she couldn’t eat and weighed 90 pounds at the time. “The moment I had Ocean, it was like I blinked and I was … fighting for my life, for my child’s life. It [was] exhausting and I have a trauma bond with Ocean now.”

As for her own podcast, Lala said it “took a hit” in reviews after Scandoval because someone on Reddit “started a petition” to “write horrendous reviews.”

She then addressed Jax’s sobriety.

“We all knew that Jax was doing copious amounts of cocaine,” she said, via @byewighellodrama on Instagram. “The thing is, what is one to do about that?” Lala suggested that it wasn’t her job to speak to him just because she is sober. “They know I’m sober. When they want to come and talk to me about sobriety, I will be there … [His addiction] did start getting worse.”

His estranged wife Brittany Cartwright added, “That’s when I had to leave … because the comedowns were so bad.”

According to Lala, she told Jax that she wouldn’t be “coming around [him]” when she’s with her kids.
