Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent is sharing her daughter, Ocean’s pure reaction to meeting her baby sister. Lala welcomed her second daughter, Sosa Kent on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024. Now, she is opening up about what it was like when Ocean met Sosa and the moment was priceless. Keep reading for all of the details.
Lala Kent Shares Ocean’s Pure Reaction To Baby Sister
It was a big deal when Lala Kent decided to have a second child mainly because she was doing it on her own. She conceived her first child, daughter, Ocean, 3, when she was engaged to Randall Emmett. In her mind, that was a baby made out of love and she was broken when her fantasy fell apart. She knew that she still wanted more children and, eventually, Lala decided she would do it on her own. Her family lives with her and that includes her mother, Lisa, and her brother, Easton. So, she would not be completely alone. She went to a sperm bank and found a donor that she, her friends, and her family all really liked.
By March 2024, Lala announced, with Ocean by her belly, that she was expecting. Her baby was to be due on September 1st, just one day before her 34th birthday. That came and went with no baby and she was soon celebrating her birthday poolside with co-star and close friend, Scheana Shay. They had cake and enjoyed their day but, on September 4th, Lala revealed her daughter arrived the day before. She did not give details but finally, almost a week later, the baby’s name was revealed. Lala named her Sosa and now, according to Page Six, she is breaking down how Ocean received her baby sister.
It seems that Ocean loves Sosa and is so happy to have her around. She noted that it was “love at first sight” when Ocean saw Sosa, which means Salt Water in Portuguese. Up until the other day, Lala Kent’s baby was affectionately referred to as ‘Baby S.’ She had only shared the first initial so fans went crazy with guesses as to what the baby’s name could possibly be.
All For Lala
Though Lala Kent shares Ocean with Randall Emmett, she was adamant about not sharing baby number two with anyone. Hence why she wanted to do it on her own. That was the hardest part of the breakup. This custody situation has been a disaster for Lala and now, when she had the choice to do it all over again, she knew she did not want history to repeat itself. Lala opted for (IUI Intrauterine insemination) and she seems very happy with her decision as does Ocean.
