Lauren O’Brien Reveals Her Current Relationship Status—What Happened After Love Is Blind?

Now that the pods have closed on Season 8 of Love Is Blind, fans are wondering what became of the cast members. Perhaps the most memorable couple from this season of the reality TV show was Lauren and Dave, who ended in a messy breakup.

Now, Lauren's spoken out about what really happened when filming ended. She may have also provided an update on some of her fellow cast members, too.

Lauren Got Real During An Instagram Q&A

In order to give her followers an update on her love life, Lauren took to her personal Instagram to hold a Q&A session with eager fans. Unsurprisingly, many were curious about her relationship status, especially after things had crumbled in such a confusing way with Dave.

When someone asked what had really gone down between her and her now-ex fiancé, Lauren remained classy as always and spoke highly of him. Per National World's reporting, Lauren cited their trip to Honduras specifically as an enjoyable time, and even cracked a joke about how the two of them had more substantive conversations than the episode cuts made it seem:

Honduras was actually really fun and easy with Dave. We laughed a lot, played a lot of cars, talked about the future, and were just overall very unplugged without our phones/the outside world. They spent most of the time showing Dave talk about my peeing habits and our physical intimacy, but I promise we had 50 plus hours of other conversations.

At the reunion, however, Lauren revealed that Dave had expressed a desire to start dating again—but, by that point, she was the one to turn him down. She noted that she felt like Dave still had lots of growing to do in terms of his emotional maturity, and she didn't think a relationship would work if she was "lightyears" ahead of him in terms of that kind of growth.

Lauren Was Asked About Other Cast Members' Relationships

Other fans were curious about a love triangle that happened elsewhere in the cast. After exes Joey and Monica broke up, there were new rumors that Joey had moved on with another star from the show, Sara, who had also broken up with her ex, Ben. Though both of the couple made it to their big wedding day, neither of them exchanged their "I do's" at the altar. (As of this article's writing, neither Joey nor Sara has officially commented on the state of their relationship.)

Lauren and Sara appear to be good friends, and Lauren even stuck up for Sara to defend her from Ben during their conversation at the reunion. When a fan pressed her about the status of Sara's current love life, she was similarly protective of her friend in her response:

Ultimately, this is not my story to share

This doesn't mean, however, that Lauren will never speak out about the topic. In fact, she told her followers that she plans to release a podcast that will be like a tell-all for news about their season. "You will hear a bit more about how I’m seeing things when [my podcast] drops,” she shared in the Q&A. “I would just like to remind people that things are never as black and white as the internet paints them to be," she added.

Love is Blind's David and Lauren

As for her own dating life, Lauren added that she's going to "take some time to re-evaluate [her] dating decisions" before officially putting herself back out there. That, at least for now, seems to be enough for her. "I am very happy and feeling very loved," she wrote to her followers.
