After meeting on The Bachelor season 28, Joey and Kelsey got engaged during the final rose ceremony. The season wrapped filming in November 2023, which is when Joey proposed to Kelsey. That means it's been well over a year since they got engaged, and they have yet to set a wedding date. The couple moved to Los Angeles, so Joey could compete in Dancing With The Stars season 33, and they decided to stay. They've been focused on their careers ever since but have recently hired a wedding planner.

Multiple Bachelor Nation couples have tied the knot on television, but Joey and Kelsey told Swooon that they hadn't decided yet. The Bachelor season 28 stars did, however, also indicate that they're open to the idea. “We haven’t gotten that far into the conversation yet,” Joey said. “If there’s a world where someone wants that to happen, we will take the meeting. We will talk about it.” The most recent Bachelor wedding was for The Golden Bachelor season 1's Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, which ended in divorce, so Joey and Kelsey should think carefully about televising their wedding.
