Lindsay Hubbard Found Castmates’ Doubts ‘Really Hurtful’ Following Carl Radke Split

The perception shifted in the time since the Summer House Season 8 finale filmed and the reunion. The girls of the cast rallied around Lindsay Hubbard immediately after her split from Carl Radke.

Summer House' reunion explodes as Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke clash

There were tears and uplifting words, as Paige DeSorbo, notably, put her beef with the former PR guru aside to support her. But the dynamic seemed different during the reunion. Rather, Paige and Lindsay’s bickering was back on.

Lindsay said the situation shouldn’t “involve teams”

Lindsay reacted to Paige’s questioning during a recent interview with Rolling Stone.

“That was really disappointing for me to see and quite honestly, it was really hurtful, because it made me question their support in one of the toughest, most humiliating moments of my life,” Lindsay said. “This doesn’t even involve teams, just support me for the humiliation I had just gone through very publicly or have support for something bad that happens to somebody.”

Meanwhile, Paige and Ciara Miller explained their perspective during the Summer House After Show and suggested that she doesn’t trust Lindsay.

“I felt bad for her, but I know Lindsay, and Lindsay is Lindsay,” the fashion contributor said. “When she does her crying, no tears, I can’t align with it. It’s very hard for me to then believe anything that comes out of her mouth.”

Ciara added, “Whenever she recounts a story, she’s always 110% always the victim. There’s never anything that she could have done or said that was problematic or wrong, so I know when she’s telling a story, there’s two sides to the story. There’s Lindsay’s side, there’s Carl’s side, there’s the truth, and there’s somewhere in between that.”

The “no tears” comment shocked Lindsay. And she doubled down on her stance that she was “blindsided” by the break-up.

“To then watch someone talk about how I was faking my tears — I don’t even know how to fake tears,” she told Rolling Stone. “Or them saying that [Carl] didn’t actually break up with me. It was just really hurtful… I’m still standing by the fact that I was blindsided. Why did you get engaged to begin with if you’re that quick to run away and not talk through your issues?… I asked him to get a job and then he broke up with me.”
