Love Is Blind UK’s Jasmine Johnson Says Bobby’s Constant Support Feels “Suffocating” During Pregnancy: “I Know He Means Well, But It’s Too Much”

Love Is Blind UK star Jasmine Johnson is opening up about the emotional rollercoaster of her first pregnancy — and revealing that while her partner Bobby has been incredibly attentive, his overwhelming protectiveness is starting to take a toll.

In a candid and emotional confession, Jasmine shared that this chapter of her life — one that’s supposed to be filled with joy — has also been clouded by fear, stress, and pressure to keep everything “perfect.”

“This is all new to me,” Jasmine said. “Every kick, every ache, every doctor’s appointment — it’s amazing, but also terrifying. And when you’ve never been through it before, the anxiety is so real.”

“He Treats Me Like I’m Going to Break”

According to Jasmine, Bobby’s love for her — and their unborn child — has translated into a kind of hyper-vigilance that leaves her feeling smothered instead of supported.

“He won’t let me lift anything. He insists on cooking every meal. He checks my temperature if I sneeze,” she laughed, then sighed. “At first, it was sweet. Now… it’s a little much.”

“I know he’s just trying to help,” she added. “But sometimes, I feel like I’ve lost all my independence. Like I’m not allowed to do anything without him checking in.”

First-Time Mom, Full-Time Pressure

Jasmine admitted that beyond the physical changes, pregnancy has brought a flood of emotions she wasn’t expecting — from mood swings to moments of deep insecurity.

“I’m constantly worried. About the baby, about doing things wrong, about not being ‘ready’ enough,” she confessed. “And on top of that, I’m trying not to snap at Bobby just because I feel overwhelmed.”

The couple, who captured hearts on Love Is Blind UK for their sweet connection and quiet loyalty, are now facing one of their first true relationship tests — learning how to balance care and autonomy in a high-stakes moment.

“We’ve had arguments,” Jasmine admitted. “Not big ones, but enough to make me cry and say, ‘Please stop hovering. I need to feel like me again.’”

“I’m Grateful, But I Need Space to Breathe”

Despite the challenges, Jasmine is quick to say she still feels lucky. Bobby is present, loving, and trying — and that matters. But she’s also asking for grace as she finds her voice in this new, unfamiliar territory.

“Pregnancy isn’t just about the baby — it’s about who you become,” she said. “And I’m still figuring that out. I just hope Bobby can let go a little, so I can grow into this next version of myself.”

“He’s going to be an amazing dad,” she added softly. “But right now, I need him to see that I’m still strong. Even when I’m scared. Even when I don’t have it all together. I don’t need him to fix me. I just need him to stand with me.”
