There's no question Madison LeCroy is eager to welcome baby No. 2. But what does her son Hudson, think about another family addition? Well, he's apparently given Madison the green light.
“Just recently, he gave me permission to have a sibling,” the Southern Charm mom told Us Weekly. “He said, ‘Mom, you can have a baby now.’ And I said, ‘Oh, OK. Thank you. I’ve been waiting on you to say that.’”
Madison shared the update after she and her husband, Brett Randle, revealed they were trying to conceive their first child together.
"[We’re keeping] our fingers crossed,” said Madison, who shares her 12-year-old son with an ex.
Madison sheds light on her and Brett's "long-distance" relationship
Madison and Brett began dating in early 2021 and were married by November 2022. Months before tying the knot, the couple purchased their beautiful “dream home” in Charleston, but their living situation wasn't exactly conventional. Brett worked as a chief firefighter in California and would typically spend three days on the West Coast and the following eight days in Charleston with Madison.
The Southern Charm-er spoke about the “long-distance” relationship in Season 9, Episode 10, in which she revealed her desire to have another child. She told her castmate Venita Aspen that the situation was initially bearable as she compared it to the joint custody agreement between her and her ex.
“If I can be separated from my child for a short period of time, then I can be separated from my husband,” she said. “But I’ve changed because we’re talking about having a baby… This time I want it to be planned and take our time.”
Madison admits "it could take years" before she welcomes another child
She reiterated her hopes for another child during a chat with Patricia Altschul, saying she believed it was “time [to] have a baby.”
“I’m only getting older, and I think it might be time… I’m scared,” she said in Season 9, Episode 15.
Patricia seemingly sympathized with the concerns and recalled Madison's pregnancy challenges with Hudson.
“I was with you when you were nine months pregnant, and then I didn’t see you for what? Three months?” Patricia said. “You had a broken pelvis, as I remember.”
“Who knows? It could take years for me to get pregnant. I have no idea.” Madison said. “I haven’t tried, ever really.”
Madison says she wants another baby "soon"
Fast-forward to October 2024, when the South Carolina native revealed she had not abandoned her baby plans.
“I’m trying,” she told E! News during the Victoria’s Secret 2024 Fashion Show. “I’m definitely hoping for another baby at some point soon… That’ll be different. Me, pregnant? Whew!”
