Clearing the air.
Bachelor Nation fans fell in love with Maria Georgas on Season 28 of “The Bachelor,” and she’s kept us updated with her life on social media ever since.
This week, Maria stopped by former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe’s “Off the Vine” podcast, where she opened up about her support for future Bachelorette Jenn Tran.
Jenn’s journey kicks off this summer, and Maria has been open about also being in conversations about the role.
Maria told Kaitlyn about how close she and Jenn were while filming and still are to this day.
She clarified what she previously said about Jenn being ready for the role, saying, “We were two close friends at the time FaceTiming about what we wanted in life and she was so ready and I respect that. She is on her Bachelorette journey and she is gonna find the man and I cannot wait to meet him. He better be good to her.”
Maria went on, saying, “We are still friends! I love Jenn. Coming off the show and having my experience talking about ‘Bachelorette,’ I wanted to not speak on it and took my time off. I wasn’t posting because I was just there to support Jenn. She had been announced and I wanted to show my support. I don’t care about myself at that point. It was done. It’s not me, it’s Jenn, and I just wanted everyone to know how ready she was for that.”
Maria also shared that she doesn’t want anyone misinterpreting anything she’s said about Jenn because Jenn has her full support.
The Bachelor Nation star got candid, saying, “I don’t know how that hasn’t come across with what I’ve been saying. So for anyone to twist my words to make it something that it’s not, I’m like, ‘No.’ I have been a Jenn stan since the day I met her. We supported each other in that house. Before we would go on dates, we would write each other notes to encourage each other to kill it that day. It can be isolating, so it’s nice to have that person you can go to. We always supported each other.”
Maria continued, “So what I’m going to do now and moving forward is only show my support to her, and I cannot wait to watch her season. I can share what happened with me and also show my support for her. Both can happen at the same time, but I don’t want anyone twisting my words. I am setting the record straight: I am in full support of Jenn, she is deserving of this, and that’s that. Team Jenn. I would wear a shirt right now that says Team Jenn if I could, but I haven’t made it yet.”
We love how supportive Maria is of Jenn and we also can’t wait to watch her season of “The Bachelorette” this summer.
